Review: ANNE RICE REALLY DID PUT HER HEART AND SOUL INTO THIS BOOK. SHE MAKES US THINK ABOUT WHAT OUR HUMAN LIMITS TRULEY ARE AND HOW EASY IT IS TO GO BEYOND THOSE LIMITS. THE ONLY THING THAT I WOULD SUGGEST SHE SHOULD OF LOOKED OVER WAS THE CLIMAX OF THE STORY....AFTER THE COMPLEX BUILDING OF THE PLOT AND STORYLINE THE FINAL CONCLUSION WAS ON THE "CHEESY" SIDE.

Review: Anne's best yet! I made the mistake of buying the soft cover edition of this title, which was a mistake because I've already re-read this book so many times that the pages are falling out! I *LOVE* how the book has views from all of the characters. Can't wait until they make a movie out of it. Akasha's wrath upon the men of our time astounded & entranced me and those that I've loaned the book to. This is a definite must read!

Review: 'Queen of The Damned''had a good plot, but the story itself was very slow. Anne Rice worte better books. And why is everyone saying it was so sexy, it didn't have that much nudity.

Summary: Read this more than once!
Review: You need to read this more than once if you don't have total recall. I didn't fully appreciate everything until the second reading. That's when I said, "Oh, that's what such & such was driving at". This is an excellent book, revealing a history only rivaled by the Mayfairs. This explains much of Lestat's personality and paves the way for future books. I enjoyed having a beginning of vampirism detailed and its consequences laid out. A definite must read!

Summary: OH MY GOD!
Review: This book was such a change from The Vampire Lestat in the way that Anne wrote it. The way she divided all of the chapters into sections of other people just made the suspense even more nerve-racking. I just kept flipping through to other chapters trying to find out what would happen next. I just loved the new characters such as Khayman, Maharet, Jesse, Pandora, And the return of Marius. I truely hope to see more of Khayman and Jesse, along with her great family, in books to come. These characters overwhelmed me even though they didn't even show up that much. Anne Rice has written a wonderfully suspenseful and action packed book and I can't wait to see more of all the new characters.

Summary: Move over, Vlad, here's where vampires REALLY come from...
Review: The Queen of The Damned wraps up where The Vampire Lestat left off, telling what happened to ol' Lestat after the rock concert when someone sneaked into his crypt, or whatever it is that a vampire sleeps in (his "house", I guess...). What follows is a veritable vampire holocaust! Vampires all over the planet are exploding into flames in acts of immolation that would make a Buddhist monk proud! What is happening? Only a few are left to ask this question and they gather together to try to figure it out with only this clue to go on, a common thread betwixt them: they are all people (vampires, actually) that Lestat holds dear to him... This book lays plain the entire history of vampirism; and it's ancient origins will completely surprise you! It explains everything and adds on to the bits and pieces that Lestat picked up in the preceeding book, including an explanation of the old "kill the lead vampire" legend and how and why it "frees" all the other vampires down the chain. It actually doesn't "free" them, you'll have to read to find out what really happens when you do this. And you'll also have to read to find out how the world is delivered from the bloodthirsty clutches of Earth's most powerful vampire gone insane. Anne Rice masterfully communicated the madness of the novel's archvillain and her perverted philosophies. The atrocities committed in the name of "help" were delivered in such a way that I could feel myself going crazy with the desire to jump into the book and throttle the antagonist whose primary personality trait seemed to be best described by a word commonly associated with Joan Collins. There is one sad note about this book, however. Being that the myth-shrouded beginnings of vampirism is laid bare, the entire romantic enchantment of the vampire is reduced to scientific formulas and laws of nature and spirituality, the mystery of it all stripped away. Some legends are best left unfounded... (Imagine if the entire legendry of dragons was PROVEN to have just been early man's interpretation of dinosaurs. How disappointing!) On the other hand, this is not to say that Anne Rice's vampire dissertaion was disappointing, I for one am glad to know about all this, as the typical "prince of darkness" stuff is just a little too far-fetched to have found it's way into the Chronicles comfortably. But there definitely is a sadness in knowing, much like the sadness of losing an old, dear friend, or the sadness of "growing up": life hasn't neccessarily come to an end, but something is gone that can never be replaced. Read this book. It will astonish you.

Review: In my opinion Queen of the Damned was by far her best work in the Vampire Chronicals. I was very impressed with her imagery and I found that I could not but the book down. I recomend this to anyone who loves a good thriller.

Review: The Queen of the Damned, Book 3 of the Vampire Chronicles, as they say, three's a charm. The best book Anne has ever written. First, you would expect this to be just a plain old sequel but man are you WRONG!!!??? It is more complex than that. Going back in time to discover tales of other immortals and finding out there is more to it than what Lestat knows. Around the world things has been happening and you havent even scratched the surface yet!!! With each part, each chapter, each focus on one of the vampires, weaves a tale of unprecendented stories. The novel is serperated into five parts. Part 1 - before the concert. These chapters you will find that vampires all around the world knows about those who must be kept from Lestat and humans and immortals have been having these strange dreams. What are they???? One of the most interesting things in the book, The Talamasca- an organization that investigates paranormal activity. The best chapter Anne has ever written! Part 2- during the concert, with endless interaction between the vampires and humans and Lestat. The Queen is HERE!!!!! Part 3- Lestat is taken, finally continuing from the Cliff-Hanger from The Vampire Lestat, Lestat is seduced by his Queen, Akasha to do her bidding. While on the other side of the world, from the oldest vampires to the newest gather in a compound to hear the story of The First Brood- the first vampires. We are engulfed!!!! Part 4 the confrontation- Akasha must face the vampires gathered at the compound to see if the others will join her in her evil plan!!!!! Part 5 this part will amaze you and make you love Anne more and more..... One of the most interesting writing Anne has ever written. If you dont read this book, you DO NOT DESERVE TO BE CALLED A RICE FAN!!!!!!!!!

Review: I am seventeen years old and I have been reading Anne Rice's novels since I was fifteen. In my opinion this is the most outstanding book she has ever written! Anne Rice has mastered on how to combine the relentless fever of blood the vampires share, to the morals each one must face within themselves. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, you question whether to loathe the vampires and their lust for death or love them for their passion and sincerety
