Review: I havent finished this book yet but so far this is defiantly one of the best books Ive ever read.My favorite chapter so far was the one entitled, The Story of Daniel, the Devils Minion.Armand is just wonderful.I hope it stays this good!

Summary: They Just Keep Getting Better
Review: Every time I finish one of Anne's books I think "wow, nothing can top this"! Then I move on to the next and here it's happened again. I loved the novel. It appealed to every reason I have to read. My favorite aspect of this novel was the background, and history of the characters and their immortality. I just finished it and now I have to go start on "Tale Of The Body Theif". I don't want to ruin the ending for any one but this is why I love Lestat, leave it to him to............................................

Summary: Least favourite of the Chronicles but still excellent
Review: I didn't enjoy this as much as the previous two chronicles. At first I didn't like the way the story had 'backtracked' from the 2nd book, it's like Rice is writing them in reverse order! But nevermind it's still an excellent read. Also it failed to 'grab' me in the beginning because of all the different characters at once, it became confusing and you couldn't get 'involved' in it, in each characters lives because the little chapters were too short but I realize what Rice was doing, building up the story etc. etc. I don't know why but every female vampire that's created always irritates me! In fact all the females Rice writes about irritate me! Maybe she does it on purpose. I felt like killing Akasha, Jesse was annoying and Gabrielle , well that's another story. Why are they always so cold and bitchy? is there not one affectionate female vampire? Anyway near the middle, or the end of the book when Maharet started to [FINALLY!!!!] tell about the 'twins' it got interesting. But then i didn't like it when she kept chopping & changing to Lestat's view. And couldn't Lestat see what a psycho Akasha was? I saw a very valid point in this whole 'anti-male' thing. I mean it was obvious , you have to admit, if you're sitting listening to the world for like 4000 (?) years you might also want to stop wars, rape etc. but still.... I thought the ending was unrealistic but of course I'm glad they didn't all die. I'm glad Akasha died , the stupid psycho. I thought that was really clever when Mekare ate her brain etc. They shouldn't have all promised to keep the 'coven' together at the end, Rice sometimes jams herself into tight corners..! 'coz in the next book they're all solitary again and she had to explain why. And Marius wasn't all kind and good in this one, as Lestat made us see in the 2nd book. Akasha said he was greedy etc.? Just one more thing, it's tedious to have to read the sort of 'bringing-up-to-date' or 'filling in' of all the past books for people who haven't read the first two for example. It debases, or trivializes everything that happened in the first 2 books. I realize this is necessary for people who have taken long gaps or haven't read any before but please people just read them in order!!

Summary: Very richly written. however very hard to follow
Review: Let me first say that Anne Rice is one of my most favorite authors. Queen of the Damned was very in depth and well written, however, I found it very hard to follow in the beginning and did not really understand where the story was going and what she was trying to do. As one neared the end of the book everything did start to make sense and the plot was adequate. This has been the least favorite of her books for me.

Summary: DOESNT COME CLOSE TO INTERVIEW
Review: The only decent book in the vampire chronicles is Interview With the Vampire. The other ones are all rubbish. The whole Those Who Must Be Kept thing was really silly and even sillier was the rock star thing and even sillier than that was that Talamasca or whatever it was called thing and even sillier than that....ect,ect,ect.It goes on and on. I wont even mention how annoying I find Lestat. Interview With the Vampire is a great book but when i read it I have to ignore all that stuff in the later books and pretend that they dont exist.

Summary: Pretty Impressive
Review: The book captivates you from the start and takes you to extreme twists and turns as you read through it. By the end, I thought the ending happened too quickly and had such an anti-male feel to it. I don't know. Though the book captures you with the beauty of literary descriptions, it leaves much to be desired on the choice of themes. That still does not deter you from reading the other chronicles though.

Summary: The best anne rice book ever!!!!
Review: I started out by reading the first book of hers Interview with a vampire and was hooked to anne rice. The second one the vampire lestat was very good, but this one is the best of them all. Anne has an exdrodinary way with words and how she can pull you into the book with descriptions of all the new characters. I have waited for someone to give a new view on how vampires where created and by far her way of describing how it hapened is a better and more realistic way of how it could of happened. i have gone on to read every vampire book of hers so far and my last one of hers even the vampire vittorrio (was ok). I have read many of her other books beside the vampire chronicals and if you like these you will definatly like evry other book she has written! I am on my way of owning all of them, and i hope they don't stop! Thank the gods for a writer like her!

Review: This is without a doubt the best book I have ever read. The whole thing is extremely well written. Even in a third person narrative, the writing still reflects the character. Example: think of Baby Jenks's slang compared to Marius's philosophical contemplation.

Review: Although this was a well written book, I can't help but think that Ann must have been in a real anti-male mood in the time she wrote it. I did however enjoy meeting all the new characters, particularly Maharet and Jesse. Definetly not my favorite of the chronicles, but not a bad read.
