Summary: If you like Rice's style, you'll love this book!
Review: I'm a huge Anne Rice fan, and she didn't let me down with this book. I will admit that this book started out a little slow, but it definitely picked up. The story was well developed and full of history that I love to see added to fiction. It adds a sense of realism that I can't resist. I definitely reccommend this book.

Summary: I hope this is a beginning to a new series...
Review: I read it in two days. I love Ann Rice's style. The way she mixes ancient history, magic, religion and mythlogy, leads one to wonder if such beings and rules exist. I am in love with the main character "Azriel", who is the "Servant of the Bones", and hope to follow him in future adventures. I think I even like him better than "Lestat" of the Vampire Chronicals (could be because I've read all those already and hunger for more of her books). I recommend this to all Anne Rice fans and more.

Summary: Not up to Rice's usual standards
Review: I am a huge Anne Rice fan. I thought that her Vampire Chronicles were brilliant, even the controversial Memnoch. Her Mayfair series was extremely enjoyable. Sad to say I had to struggle through this book, which is absolutely unheard of with an Anne Rice Novel. Glad to see she is back to her old self with Pandora and Armand.

Summary: plodding, pedantic, simply awful
Review: Don't waste your money. My boss suggested I read Anne Rice, so I tried. I really tried. In truth, I could only swallow about 2/3 of it before tossing it in the garbage. The characters are very poorly developed; the plot doesn't go anywhere; the allusions to Jewish heritage are empty, with no real reference to the very real ghosts of that heritage; the editing is terrible with inconsistent formatting. Perhaps it would have worked as a short story, but certainly not as long, long novel.

Review: Anne Rice uses the same technique as in her famous book "Interview With A Vampire". The story begins in today's time as Azriel tells his story so it may be put in print. Azriel begins with his death and the curse which turned him into the Servant of the Bones... his bones. It continues to tell of his Masters and all he learned from them. Somehow he is summoned in today's time to witness the murdering of a lady by three men with ice picks. Furious, he catches the three and kills them before she is fully dead and may know she is avenged. But WHO had summoned him? Why? Who was the Master? ***Another winner for this author! I only wish she had changed her style some. It was TOO MUCH like Interview With A Vampire. I was enthralled through the whole story. Who knows? This will perhaps be her next movie.***

Review: Don't waste your money. This book is really terrible, very boring, and pointless. The poetry is excruciating.

Review: In this book, Anne Rice continues with her vulnerable male character-types, and creates Azriel, whom you can't help but love. Somehow, this book seems darker than the Vampire Chronicles, and somehow more despair-ridden. Of course, I loved it!

Review: I found this book to be simply marvelous. It started out slow but I was drawn into it and my imagination took flight.The book takes many suprising turns and keeps you enthrawled wanting to know more.This book I could not put down till finished.It has been 6 months since I read this book and have yet to find another to keep my mind as captivated as this one did me.I reccomend it wholeheartedly.

Summary: Kinda funny, not Vampire chronicle though...
Review: A Good fun, unfortunately, not one of the Vampire Chronicles (hope "Pandora" will be good as the others...). Anne Ricce could have used a different line for the book plot, instead of the used "interview " with the "Imortal", but, she is the boss all over the book. Very rich related to the details, scenes, mood. I Like that... Let her use her plots as long as she wants so... Of course, herein Brazil, all the Vampire Fan club is waiting for Interview 2 on screen. Hoep it happens soon!!!!
