Rating: Summary: you absolutely have to read it! Review: I'm not really that into reading, but I couldn't put this book down. I've read all 8 of L.J. Smith's Night World books and I love them all, but this is definitely my favorite. My only complaint is that I think she should have written more about Delos, he was defintiely an interesting enough character. Not to mention sexy...
Rating: Summary: L.J. Smith rocks!!! Review: All of L.J. Smith's books are so totally kicking. She's like one of the only authors that I re-read their books over & over & over again. All of her books, not just the Night World ones, make me wish to be that particular heroine & feel what it's like to find their soulmate. These people who're clowning on Ms. Smith are SO insane!
Rating: Summary: Soulmates? Hah! Review: Why is it that book for teenagers are either sentimental gush or those supposed "scary" point horror stories? Oh well. Doesn't anyone think that we teenagers (and I think I'm unaminous on this) want a little more... detail on books. Like the authors not to shy away from death and un- happy endings. We don't want books to tell us that this is right and that is wrong, and the perfect hero/ine to have a happy ending. This book for "young adults" fits nicely in american melodrama genre; think of a less cynical version of "Dawson's Creek" and you're there. I'm not even going to bother to describe the way clumsy plot tramples at it's an inconsistent pace. Or mention the narrative... which is awful. The author has a repetative style that gets on your nerves after awhile, the same similes/ phases used over and over as if she's hammering a point home. But you'll notice I've given it two crowns; why?? You ask. Well, the truth is, it's a good story; if the characters where more developed (would of worked better as twenty somethings and not around the "teen" age range.) A little more... well, a little more sex 'n' drugs and the rest for a start. The soulmate principle is nice, but a little fairy tale. "Happily ever after" still rings in the plot. After all, aren't the best romances a tradegy? Think Romeo & Juliet, Cleopatra and Antony... Love that was destined, but was never was.
Rating: Summary: One of the best Review: It was a great book up there with Huntress and Spellbinder. Thats a point why is Spellbinder called "Enchantress" in England? I loved Delos but I wasn't hooked on Maggie.
Rating: Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Review: I really liked this book, its great!! I read all the other Nightworld books except Strange Fate.. they're the Best!! I also read Dark Visions and The Forbbiden Game trilogy is my favorite.. I think that L J Smith is a very tanlented writer..anyway gotta go!!
Rating: Summary: KICKS BUTT!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: From three girls sitting behind a comp on a Fri night, at 12:11 in the morning, we all think that this is a GR8 book, one of us(Garnet) is saying that this is probably the most likely 2 happen realisticly. Sapphire is silent. And I, Dyla- the 1 writing!-- says that this is wonderfull book and that I this that this is great series!!!
Rating: Summary: I LOVE this book. Review: I think this is the best book in the Night World series.I like the way Maggie uses her brains to get out of trouble. And well atleast she didnt kill every vampire in sight like Rashel did.
Rating: Summary: The best Night World that I have read! Review: It was a very exciting and touching story. It shows how the vampires mistreat the humans. I loved the way Delos learns to care about someone other than himself. It leaves you in suspense wondering if Maggie will find her brother or if Delos really killed him.The story gives hope that vampires and humans can learn to live in peace. When I was finished, I couldn't wait for Smith's next novel.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE this book along with the rest of the series!!!!!!!!!! Review: I LOOOOOOVE this book!!!!! I have read most of the NIGHT WORLD SERIESand I especially love the vampire specialized ones, all the others are wonderful too. This book has everything that i love in my most cherished books.
Rating: Summary: an ok book Review: I thought that this was one of the weaker Night World books but still wrorth the read. I didn't like the characters all that much. This and Dark Angel go at the bottom of my list.
