Summary: Somethings Missing
Review: As a fan who reads every Buffy book published as soon as I can get my hands on it, I was a little dissapointed. The plot was ok I guess but the authors style of writing was nothing special. Throughtout the whole book I felt that something was missing, something that draws you into the book & makes you read it dozens of times. Idea: take it out of the library, don't waste money on a book thats not really worth it.

Summary: Vampires, Changelings and fairies oh my!
Review: Fantasy and horror collide in this Buffy novel. Willow is in the center of a growing evil. Babies are disappearing and no one seems to want to do anything about it. When the vampire population explodes the slayer has her hands full. When Willow is kidnapped to be used as a human scarifice the scoobies moblize to save her. Angel, Buffy and Oz make a good team. The action is exciting. I enjoyed the battle with the little people. They held their own.I believed Angel and Buffy could be mortally wounded by the fairies. The folklore was very interesting. One of the most moving moments is Angel's conversation with a grieving mother. I recommend this book. A reader does not need to be a fan to enjoy this excellent addition to Buffy fiction.

Summary: My Review
Review: I loved this book. The details are great. Willow is the main character here, which is unusual but good. All Buffy fans should read this one.

Summary: Maybe the best Young Adult "Buffy" yet
Review: I really liked this book, which says a lot because I have been pretty critical of some of the other "Buffy" books. Some of the other books tend to seem like they are trying harder to be a tie in to the show rather than telling a good story. This book definitely stood on its own. The author throws you right into the story right off the bat, and it has a good mix of folklore and mystery. Some of the other "Buffy" books are just one big gratuitous "monster fest." If you stay away from "Buffy" Young Adult books because they are not "Adult" enough, then you might want to try this book before being too hasty.

Summary: Overall, a great Buffy book by a great athor.
Review: I've been a fan of Mel Odom's since I read a title he wrote for the Executioner series, called "Crimson Tide." (No relation to the movie.) Then, I read his novelization of "Blade" which was wonderful; the dedication page alone is worth the price of the book. So I was quite excited when I found e had written a Buffy book. The book at first seemed ho-hum to me, although I have to hand it to him, he's got the characterization down pat...even Willow, which for my money seems to be the trickiest for novel-writers to get right. But then the faeries were introduced, and I'm a sucker for faeries. I will read anything I can get my paws on if it has to do with fairies (Faeries, Fairies...). That said, I'm looking forward to reading "Child of the Hunt." But I digress... Once things really got rolling, the book was great. I really hope Mr. Odom will eventually write an "adult" Buffy novel. That said, I'll read with pleasure anything else he writes in the Buffyverse. Good work, Mel!

Summary: This was definitely the BEST BUFFY book written yet!
Review: It was awesome! And not only because the main focus was on my favorite character, Willow. I liked the stuff having to do with faeries and the plot. I though it was kind of similar to the episodes of Buffy on TV "Becoming part 1" and "Becoming part 2" Because of the construction sites that unearthed the evil. But it was definitely the BEST! I started reading it, and by the 4th chapter I was hooked! I couldn't stop! I finished this book in a few hours, Definitely the best! I hope Mel Oden Will write more Buffy books!

Summary: fun with faeries
Review: The little baby Willow is sitting turns into a mean faery & warns Willow that if she doesn't help turn around the construction about to begin at a nearby park, her fate will be doomed.

It's an interesting premise- especially considering this book allows for more talk & research than some of the other overly action packed Buffy books. But, like so many Buffy books, once the 40 page action sequences begin- I could care less.

It's just that after watching the show- the action doesn't translate well onto the page, not to mention I never read action books. (Aside from Buffy & I only read the books because i miss the show).

The ending drips with Angel/Buffy cheese, but overall, the narrative does have a lot of fun faery facts & Willow is practically the star of the story (I love Willow).

I wouldn't say don't read it, just don't expect anything too great.

Summary: READ IT, IT'S GREAT!!
Review: The little baby Willow is supposed to babysit starts making threats, the woods and the park is flooding with vamps and Cordy is planning Spring Blow in the park, get ready for an adventures trip to Sunnydale(has it ever been boring?NOPE!!)
Willow is organizing demonstrations against a company that wants to build an amusment park in the park she grew up in. Cordy is furious with Will because this will ruin her plans for a big Spring party in the park. Then evil, mad faries(changelings) kidnap little babies to get their way with the forest(they are protecting it,kind of). They kidnap the baby Wills watching. Mean while more and more vamp are found in the forest near an archeaological dig.The Scooby gang has a lot to do and as the plot thickens it seems like it's to much for them to handle.
What happens? Read it, you won't be abel to put it away.
It is a really good book, not up to Golden and Holder standards but all in all good.
