Summary: anxious
Review: after reading this book I thought that it was as good book. It is one of my favorite's and I also read some of the comments to the book some were good and some were bad. I thought that the holl thing wiht Keller and Gallen was interesting but I have to agree with one of the reviewers I thought that Illiana was supposed to have a soulmate with Gallen but I guess that well just have to wait to see what happens in the ohter books. I hope that Rashell,Jez, and Keller join together in one of the books.

Summary: Not *again*...
Review: Ok, ok, I *know* that the whole point of this series is the Soulmate Principle, but maybe she should have kept this series down to three or four longer novels, instead of nine (soon to be ten) 200-pagers. 'Cause if I have to read ONE MORE sappy account of a gorgeous (of course) but unlikely couple discovering that they're in love, even though they hardly know each other, I'll scream. It also would have worked much better if, instead of introducing a new couple and several extra characters per book, she would explore a few couples and characters more throughly, because by the end of this book all I really knew about Keller and Galen was that she had black hair and gray eyes and he was a blond with weird eyes. Oh yeah, and they're both shapeshifters. No history at *all,* except that Keller was abandoned by her mother as a baby. It *was* refreshing to see not one but *two* shapeshifters portrayed as actual people, instead of evil monsters, but the thing about the dragon was kind of nasty - "one of the most powerful kinds of shapeshifters, and the most evil" (paraphrased). Exsqueeze me? How can you tell if someone is evil just by what animal they happen to be able to morph into? Christ, talk about prejudice. I'm not even going to mention Iliana. (Well, except for the fact that violet eyes are *extremely* rare in real life, and she's the third or forth character in this series to have them - realism, hello? Is it a law that characters in these kinds of books have to, in addition to being gorgeous, have very unlikely coloring? Ms. Smith *never* writes ordinary brown-eyed brunette characters - but then, it's much easier to just describe what color a character's eyes are then to actually describe their features. Taking the easy way out...) Anyway. This book was ok, but completely indistinguishable from the others. Bo-ring. Oh, yeah, and vilivo (who *rocks*, btw) was right about the cover model - what, I'm supposed to believe that *this* is the foxiest guy to come along since Leonardo DiCaprio? As Iliana might say, if she'd been given more than a total of 5 pages in this book: As if! -Twilight

Summary: Giggle!
Review: Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!!!! Oh that soulmate guy Illiana is soooo cute!!! I wish I could run away with him, unlike mundane reality, where nothing like this happens!!!! Get real. This book is too Disney-esque. For once, I would like to see an unhappy ending; i.e. the soulmate dies. Like Tolstoy said, "All happy endings are the same, but unhappy endings are unhappy in their own way." =)

Summary: like i said
Review: Like I said I would write back. Witchlight was an excellent book except....where is Iliana's soulmate? Excuse me put the prophecy said that If the Soulmates and the Wild Powers survived then the light would triumph. Oh well maybe in Strange Fate(I can't wait!) Ilaina will get hers. E-mail me for my web page! Or if you just want to chat.

Summary: What's to say besides the obvious? It was a great book!
Review: Though some people... I won't mention names, have decided that the whole soalmate idea and the the thought of using some of the same kinds of characters... oh let's say vampires, shapeshifters, and witches... think that these books have no real purpose and are getting old, I would just like to say GET A CLUE! You may think the same things keep coming up in books over and over again but hey have you ever stopped and thought that maybe the author does that to stress the point of the book to everyone? She is trying to get you to conect to the story and make it believable in your own lives and trying to get you to use your imagination. Some of the plot lines may seem repeated but I mean give her a break! Think about movies, plots are used and recycled all the time! And you still bother to pay $4.25 to go see them at the theatures. I personally love reading her books and I think the soalmates idea is a great way to express the idea's of the characters. It gives you an opening to their hearts and that's more than most of the real world can get out of eachother. I hope I have enlightened your ideas and made you think more. I am a proud to read these books and as for others.. well you have the world of free opinions. I hope you know that you may encounter a few enemies that way though. Thanx for a good book! My fav to be honest. If you feel the same way tell me.

Summary: -THE BEST AUTHOR EVER!--
Review: I have read all of L.J. Smith's books and I think they're all awesome. However, I do not think like many other reviewers. I think the soulmate principal is wonderful and I don't think L.J.Smith should stop writing stories based on the principal. I think that that is the whole theme of the Night World series. Also, I would recommend to anyone who hasn't read all of L.J.Smith's books to do so. They are all wonderful.
