Rating: Summary: Bleak, but interesting Review: When they throw in another Slayer with Buffy in the cell and she declares she's going to kill Buffy for being a bad slayer I knew things were going to be intersting. This book while short, is well written and creative. The end left me gasping in shock. It also leaves you very interested in hearing what happens next. IF you enjoyed the first book I suggest you read this one as well.
Rating: Summary: my first Five Stars EVER so this should be sayin something.. Review: WOAH! The second book in the Lost Slayer series is even better than the FIRST. i haven't read the last too, so i can't really compare it to them, but i gotta say Dark Times will be hard to top. This book follows Buffy as she explores the new future world where vampires dominate. Finally, we get some SMART vampires, who are organzied, obedient and actually incorporate TECHNOLOGY to their weaponry, such as using guns and stun guns on opponents. The new world Golden creates is fascinating and you want to learn more and more about everything, including all that has happend to the Scoobs in this alterna-future. We also get to see old villains in this future, like Harmony, Drusilla and (big surprise) Spike. Golden flashes back to the past (or present) too and Willow, Xander, Anya, and Oz get their own storyline when they deal with what has happened to Buffy after they performed that ceremony. This has got to be THE best novel about a show i have ever read. It's actually like a real life BOOK and not just something created to profit from the show's success. I strongly recommend this whole series.
