Summary: best buffy book since child of the hunt
Review: this book was so good i read it in three hours. it starts out with buffy trying to balance her life as a college freshman and her duties as a slayer. she does a horrible job of it, missing assignments, being rude and abrubt with willow and giles. to add to the slayer's headaches, a group of well organized vampires have hit sunnydale and she barely escapes with her life. when her and giles go to investigate, giles is taken hostage and the leader of the group gives buffy an ultimate. she of course flees and calles upon the help of lucy hanover(for anyone who does not know a long dead slayer). she tells buffy that she needs to get in contact with a prophet and when she does she tells buffy that she will show her the future so buffy will try to avoid it. what happens next is just too good to tell but i think you get the gist and need to run out to the nearest bookstore and get this copy if you buy no other book in your life. no buffy book has had me this enthralled and i see that the next one is out so i need to go back and get it. you will not be disappointed.

Summary: Great start to this series...
Review: This is a fantastic start to a series that will go down as a classic.

Buffy's having trouble adjusting to college life, and it takes a toll on the friendship she has with Willow. As if this wasn't bad enough, some vamps come to town that dont' act like normal vamps. (I can't say how, b/c I dont' want to ruin anything. To make matters worse (this is from the back cover) a deceased slayer Lucy Hanover, comes to Buffy to warn her about a danger...

One of the strongest parts of this book is that Golden has a strong grasp of the char of Buffy and the slayeretts. The reader can actually hear the char speak the lines, it's that realastic.

I also like how the reader gets into the head of Buffy and the other char to see why they act they way they do. The reader will actally feel sympathy for the char. It shows how much everyone cares for each other.

If yer a Buffy fan, then you need to start this fantastic series. You won't be sorry.

Summary: *~* Great Book *~* Slow Start *~* Bad Finish *~*
Review: This is an amazing tale. My first Buffy book was 'The Book of Fours' by Nancy Holder. It was ok, but it wasn't until I read 'Sins of the Father' by Chris Golden that I decided to continue reading Buffy books. I looked for another book written by him and found a complete gem in then 'The Lost Slayer' series. This is an incredibly great set up for a four part series. Chris Golden knows the Buffy characters so well, that it's a shame he never wrote an episode. Whenever I read one of his books, I envision it being a movie and this one is no exception. It is wonderfully thought out and well written.

The care for the characters and the story are evident and is a must read for any fan of Buffy novels. I suggest buying it one book at a time instead of the new novel that came out with all four installments together. It adds to the suspense not being able to read the next chapter right away. The bonus being that you get to enjoy the novel in the way the author intended.

Summary: The Engrossing First Installment of The Lost Slayer Quartet
Review: Vampire-slayer Buffy Summers is having an extremely hard time of adjusting to her life as a non-high school student, and new Freshman at UC Sunnydale. For one thing, she's made a bad impression on her teachers, turning this in late, and missing classes; and her relationship with Willow and Giles is slowly going down the tube. However, when a group of organized vampires covered in bat tattoos show-up in Sunnydale, Buffy knows that it's up to her to try and destroy them before they take over the entire town. But when Giles and her begin investigating, and run into danger, causing Giles to be captured by them, and held hostage, Buffy finds herself fleeing, and calls upon the now-dead slayer, Lucy Hanover to help her out. Lucy informs Buffy that she must find a Prophet, to show her what will happen in the future, so she can avoid danger. But instead of helping, this action catapults the now 19-year-old Buffy into the future, to what she'll be when she's 24-years-old.

In this wonderful first installment in THE LOST SLAYER quartet, famed BUFFY...author Christopher Golden, crafts an enticing story that is uterly irresistible to BUFFY...fans. His well-crafted, original storyline is ingenious, and will have readers furiously turning the pages to find out what will happend next, while his vivid descriptions makes it hard to put PROPHECIES down. Beware, PROPHECIES contains a killer cliffhanger, that will have you itching to find out what will happen to Buffy next, so make sure you have a copy of the second LOST SLAYER installment entitled DARK TIMES close by.
