Summary: I could not put it down
Review: I cannot wait for the second book of The Lost Slayer series to come out. This book was great!! It deals with how Buffy wants to be the best slayer and thinks she needs to do everything by herself in order to keep her life straight. She and Willow get farther apart because of this, and at the end of the book is a surprise that will make you scream because you don't have the rest of the book. Christopher Golden is a god!!

Summary: Prophecies BtVS: The Lost Slayer, Part One
Review: I just loved all four books. It was great to be able to see a little into the future and see what would happen if Buffy made a very bad decision or ever got caught. I read all 4 books in 6hours. This is great reading.

Summary: A surprisingly good little jaunt into Sunnydale
Review: I was intrigued to find this book at the end of the line of BtVS novels at my local bookstore, given that it was so thin I was hesitant to pick it up - I've been fooled by those ep re-writes enough times that I'm wary of anything that small, but I'm now glad I had that extra minute to spare, cause - wow - this new storyline has promise. I have been off-and-on disappointed in the series and have learned that buying one is a studied risk, but this one actually surprised me.

Golden is the best of the many authors and seems to have the best grasp on the characters and their dialogue - no mean feat I'm sure - and this is no disappointment.

The storyline is true to the college experience and the new life/responsibilities dumped on the unsuspecting freshman - I hope the rest of the series continues in this vein...

Summary: Excellent 'Buffy' book!
Review: I'm a huge fan of the show, so I've read many of the 'Buffy' books. This first installment to the Lost Slayer serial novels was one of my favorites. It instantly made me want to read the rest. Christopher Golden is one of the best if not the best of the regular 'Buffy' authors. He seems to understand the characters better than any other author and comes up with great stories they could probably never use on the show. He has a terrific imagination! I also highly recommend the Gatekeeper Trilogy.

Summary: Wonderful Series
Review: I'm a little ashamed to say that I'm 36 and I love Buffy. I started watching this show one Christmas while I was gift wrapping and I got hooked! Most of the books are not very good but this series is great. Very much in tune with the characters of the show. Christopher Golden is one of the best "Buffy" authors. You should definitely order all four books at the same time so that you will not be left in the middle.

Summary: Interesting Concept, Bitter Buffy
Review: Prophecies is a good novel with an interesting story. Buffy is facing a new foe, in the form of a demon-god. His vampire followers aren't like other vampires that Buffy has faced before, which causes her to be concerned. Buffy is also warned of some impending doom by a Prophet, but she is unable to figure out what will come to pass until it is too late.

In this novel, Buffy doesn't quite seem like the Buffy from the tv series. She's cold and bitter. She's rude to her friends and is just mean compared to the tv version of her character. Though I don't particularly enjoy her attitude, she has her reasons for being this way and I respect that.

The story takes a while to develop, which, though leaving you in suspense, is a bit off-putting. It is an interesting concept, though, so for that I give the book 4 stars.

Summary: *~* Great Book *~* Slow Start *~* Bad Finish *~*
Review: This book got off to a slow start, when I started to read it my only motivation to actually finish the book was "common, common, you bought all 4 of these books don't just let them go to waste." But they didn't go to waste. They were great! Throughout the middle of the book you capture Buffy and Willows thoughts. Its just too great! But my only problem with this book is at the end - it leaves you hanging like "what? what happens next?" but the book is finished. I guess this is just a cheap way to get you to read THREE other books and pay too much money for a series! I reccomend that you buy the big book with all 4 books in one. Its cheaper and not such a waste. But I do reccomend this book for a true Buffy fan. But definetly not for someone who just started watching Buffy as it can get a little confusing.

Summary: Great book!
Review: This book is a great lead in to the next book "Dark Times." It is set in the beginning of Season 4 and Buffy is feeling the pressure of being the Slayer and being Buffy Summers. She begins to detach herself from her friends, to keep her Slayer life from her "normal" life. Then, that's when things start to not go her way. There are some new vamps in town with bats tatoo's on there face and flaming eyes. That's all I'm going to tell you! You have to read the book to see how it goes. I loved it and the ending shocked me. I recommend you clear some time because you will want to read the rest of the serial.
