Rating: Summary: I really like this book. Review: I loved this book!. The way the characters are described is really true to the show. It described emotions and actions really well. I would recommend this book to everyone.
Rating: Summary: Very good!!!! Review: I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't the best, but still very well written. The personalities of Buffy and the slayerettes were exactly like they would be in the show. This would have made a neat episode! Xander and Oz had some really funny lines. And the overall Druid plot was very creative and different. :) However, not liking the fact that Angel didn't have a part. He was merely mentioned in Buffy's personal thoughts. Oh well. He'll be in the Gatekeeper Trilogy, so I have that to look forward to. :)
Rating: Summary: Great book. Got it for Christmas and couldn't put it down. Review: I really liked this one. The author did a good job of mixing in the Druids and their magic vs. Buffy and her slaying capabilities. If you buy this one and like it, make sure you read the Gatekeeper Trilogy. I just finished the first of the three books, and it is awesome. Haven't read a book that I've ever liked more than the first of the Gatekeeper Trilogy.
Rating: Summary: I have to get it out Review: I totally hated this book. If it weren't for the die-hard commitment I have to the show I would have never bought it. I didn't understand it, it was slow, boring, blah blah blah. What can I say? It was just a really terrible book.
Rating: Summary: It Picks Up Later On Review: I've read fewer than 10 of the original novels so far, but this is the first I didn't thoroughly enjoy. I can force myself to stay awake even when I can barely keep my eyes open just to finish a good book. Not this time. This is also the first Buffy original novel where I didn't think that the author captured the characters correctly. I guess he didn't do his research. Certainly his Buffy seemed a bit of a wimp when compared to the show and other novels. His Willow and Giles were weaker than the norm, too. That said, the book does have its moments. The Evil Plot was reasonably evil. I liked what happened with the cemetary and bathtub. You may go ahead and read the book, just don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Buffy needs brushing up in this book Review: If the creators and writers had turned to a storyline as shallow and cheap as the one in this novel, the now hit series would never had gotten off of the ground. Predictable and blindly sentimental, the story stumbles along with Buffy investigating a pack of druids. A lame enemy and Buffy and friends are far from their signature style of a mixture of slaying action and humor.
Rating: Summary: It was a very disapointing Book. Review: It was Probibly the most dispointing Buffy book to date. It took out one of the most popular charchers in the privous books and the show Angel, with out any good reason. Then I really gave you notheing to look forward to in the first 15 chapters, also that was very boring. When you buy a book of Buffys, you know before you read the book, that it has to do with something of the end of the world, and basiclay that is what the book said the first 15 chapter, and also who was dating who, and who wanted to date or sleep with who. Pretty much the most exciting lines were about Angels how was mentioned only three or four times in the whole book, and the most intersting things that happend Happend to Cordy. So you could emagen how bad it was.
Rating: Summary: decent. Review: It was really, really slow. The characterization was awful. I've read most of the BTVS books, and this is by far the worst. I liked the idea of the story - that's what gave it three stars. Of course, I still haven't gotten past the "Buffy and Angel can't be romantically involved" idea. I guess I'm still holding on to the incredibly slim chance that there is a chance... <g>
Rating: Summary: Return to Writing Class Review: Just because I love the series and will endure almost anythingto encourage people to expand the Buffyverse, I suggest you read thisbook. That being said, I must warn you that it is slow, poorlyorganized, and very loosely based on the show at best. Druids fighting alongside the Slayer? Pullease! Perhaps the author would consider Returning to Writing Class? Or maybe watch the show to observe the context. Buy it but don't get your hopes up.
Rating: Summary: Yuck Review: Ok, I have read some of the Buffy novels. The good, the bad, and the ugly. This one would qualify somewhere between the bad and the ugly. The plot moves very slowly, and the whole plot is really confusing. My best advice: save your money.
