Summary: Not bad, but rather disappointing
Review: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!

This book was all right. Zoe was not a particularly deep character, nor was Simon, and I disliked how the author used all of the most unbelievable aspects of Vampire folklore (i.e. vampires actually being affected by crosses; vampires must carry dirt from their homeland with them all the time) and even taking her own liberties with well-known facts. (vampire fades in sunlight rather than burning in agony; vampires all get cool albino hair when they change; vampires can't drink the blood of other vampires; the master vampire is not stronger then his fledgling) With a subject as well-known as vampires, you simply can't make things up as you go along.

The story itself was not too bad. Zoe is a troubled teen whose life is caving in around her. Her mother is dying and her best friend is moving away, oh woe is Zoe. I suppose those calamaties were meant to give Zoe depth, but it adds a fragile-heroine aspect to an otherwise strong character.

From there she meets Simon; I don't remember how because I read the book a year ago and haven't picked it up since. Simon is a lonely vampire trying to go against his nature and feed off birds. Not a bad concept, but fairly overused. He meets Zoe and all is love at first sight.

There is a problem, however. Simon's little brother is a wicked little vampire in the shape of a six year old boy. Unlike Claudia from INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, this child vampire's mind has not matured. He is smart, but with a child-like mentality. I must say it is a refreshing idea in a book filled with so many stale ones.

In the end, it is Zoe's mistrust (what else can you call it) of Simon that prompts her to wear a crucifix to the final battle with his brother. It's a good thing she did, even though there was a hideous amount of unsubtle foreshadowing when she bought the stupid cross. The evildoer is seared with the light of the holy cross and falls into a convenient pit of upright stakes.

The book is not without its redeeming qualities, alas I can't remember them right now. The end was disappointing; Simon decides that vampires are not meant to exist and scatters his precious dirt to the wind before fading into the morning sun. I found it funny when I finished the end because the first thought through my head was: Since they killed the vampire, I guess that means there are no sequels.

But it doesn't matter if there had been a sequel since I wouldn't read it.

Summary: This book was very good I loved reading it.
Review: It's the same old story girl meet's boy; boys a vampire. That's how it is with Zoe and Simon anyway. Zoe needs help with her pain, ans Simon needs to kill his. Together they help each other out a lot with their problems. Not only does Zoe trouble herself with Simon; she also has her dying mother to worry about. Plus her best friend is moving away. It's a fight all the way till the end. This book will keep you wondering from the time you start till you finish. After this you may want to be carful about beautiful guys you meet and only see at night. Who knows they just may be another Simon.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I loved this book! It was so beautiful. I felt myself falling in love with Simon. He was an awesome character. Why can't real guys be like him? Zoe was a well structered character as well. She was a strong female lead. I was in tears at the end! I won't say anything to ruin the ending for people who want to read this! I hate when people do that. I'm sorry, but I do. If you are considering to read this, I suggest you do!

Summary: One of the Best Books I've Read.
Review: I didn't know exactly what I was expecting when I picked up The Silver Kiss this summer. The cover and title really caught my eye in the book store. What I found was a fantastic book that really moved me. It had romance and action and sensitivity all combined. All I can say is that you HAFTA read this book. Especially if you are a hopeless romantic.

Summary: best book
Review: The Silver Kiss is a great book for teens to read. I read quite often and I have never found a book I have enjoyed as much as this one! Zoe and Simon show much compassion and love in this story. I can actually relate to the characters. They are, for the most part normal everday teens. You can tell they relate to each other so well. Annette Kurtis Clause went into great detail with this book and I fell in love with it. In the past 3 months I have read it about 10 times and have learned new things about it and caught different details. I want to be a writer when i get older, and books like this make me want to start writing now! The detail, the characters and the settings were all in perfect writing. I absoultly LOVE this book. It is one of the best books ever! I suggest you read it. It's not too long and you won't want to put it down.

Summary: Beautiful..
Review: Sadness, romance, thriller, and the acceptance of death and life, are some of the things in this book. I read it for a AR test and couldn't put it down. I finished it in one day! I loved this book and could read it again without getting sick of it! I felt like I was in it and everything was happening to me. It sounded like peotry when they kissed and I have never liked a book as much as this in my life! Not even close to conparison!

Summary: This book is sleek, sexy, and haunting
Review: I read this book about a year ago, and LOVED it! But, I, being a vampire author myself, wasn't too pleased with Annettes view on vampires. But, I loved how she depicted her characters. I just wish the book had a better ending for Simon and Zo! The ending itself was spiritual, but it could have been better. Simon and Zo were obviosly what each other needed (in more ways than one) and I recommend this book to everyone.
