Rating: Summary: i love this book! Review: the first thing i wanna say is: i love this book! it's got great characters, great plot, and it's a great read! i love the way klause portrayed simon, the vampire. not as a mean, evil boy, but as a sweet, caring guy who wants to stop his evil brother from killing so many innocent people. he cares about zoe, too. instead of being like most literature vampires and liking a mortal for dinner, simon loves zoe for who she is. he also cares about the fact that zoe's mom is dying in the hospital. i think the sweetest part of the story is when zoe gives simon the poem she wrote for him. this is a really sweet story, and it's great for anyone to read!
Rating: Summary: Good Book! Review: I loved this book, and for a while I heard that she was writing a sequel but I haven't heard anything in months, so I'm not sure.I Love Simon and I wanted to cry when he died I was so mad!

Rating: Summary: the silver kiss Review: This book is about a teenage girl. Her mother is dying and her best friend is moving. In all of this she falls in love with a boy named simon. But simonis not what he seems to be.....he is a vampire and is looking for revenge for the death of his mother. I thought that this book was ok for a young reader but if you are looking for more of a deeper book then it is not for you.I think that the writter tried to act too young and exaggerated too much.

Rating: Summary: enchanting tale of love an death Review: Vampires fascinate me, and so I was thrilled to find yet another novel about them. But this is no ordinary bloody ghost-story. It is a magical tale filled with emotion, that I wasn't able to put down. Zoe and Simon live in different worlds - she is a teenage girl whose mother is dying from cancer; he is a 300-year-old vampire, who seeks out the vampire who killed his mother long ago. They are both lonely, struggling with death - the one who wants to defeat it and the one who can't find it. In the pain and evil around them they find each other - and love. It is love who frees them both.
Rating: Summary: "Silver Kiss" is Pure Vampire Gold Review: Wow, whenever someone will dare try and tell me that a book about vampires can't be powerful, I'm going to just hand them this book and say "read this and just try saying that again." This book is truly a beautiful, moving piece of writing. Zoe's life seems to be falling around her. With her mother battling life-threatening cancer, her father seeming not to truly listen to her anymore, and her best friend moving to Oregon, things just don't seem to be looking up. Then Simon walks in. Strange, mysterious, silver-haired, beautiful Simon. Simon. The Vampire. Who will change her life forever. The characters in "The Silver Kiss" are well developed, easy to identify with, and completely unforgettable. Every tear, laugh, surprise and kiss, you feel along with them. The language of the book is so beautiful and lyrical, sometimes you catch yourself thinking... wait... THIS is a vampire novel????? I don't care if you don't like vampires, or if you don't like reading romances, or teen dramas, or if you don't like reading books at all. You won't be able to put this book down, and like a good kiss, you won't want it to end.
Rating: Summary: Wishing That Simon Was Real..Oh Yeah, The Book Was Good Too! Review: I loved it! I had read the sequel to this book, "Blood and Chocolate," before I knew this book existed. When my friend told me there was a book before it I was intrigued, but didn't show too much inituitive. That is, until I saw it at the book store. I bought it and found it better than the sequel. Klause's use of drama and the fear of the unknown twisted from a horror story to a tear-jerking romance. Also, her description of the boy-vampire, Simon, was very vivid and made me instantly fall in love with this supposedly hansome, dark, mysterious and whimsical character. I would suggest it for older readers or kids who aren't sheltered from swearing and so forth, since this is in a high school ('nuff said).
