Rating: Summary: Dark Legend Review: Christine Feehan has done it again! The book dark legend is a story about one of the famous twins of carpathian legend Gabriel and his search for a lifemate. The story of Gabriel and his lifemate is not the typical one in that Gabriel's chosen lifemate has a mind of her own. Francesca is not portrayed as the helpless female but is instead seen as more of a partner to Gabriel and she and Gabriel often work together to achieve a common goal. The couple has their work cut out for them though because Lucian, Gabriel's twin who is believed to have turned vampire, has risen as well. The job of finding and destroying Lucian falls to Gabriel. The book Dark Legend is another must read! I found it to be exciting and touching. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed trying to guess what would happen next. I just can't get enough of Christine Feehan's books. I highly recommend this book and the entire Dark Series to all romance readers!
Rating: Summary: Can she not write any faster Review: I cannot get enough of this author and this series, as soon as you read one novel, you immediately want more. As usual this novel is sexy, (steamy) a great love story, suspenseful and has a great suprise ending. I look forward eagerly to which story Ms. Feehan will reveal to us next.
Rating: Summary: WOW!! The Best yet!!!!! Review: While I love the entire Dark series, this book is a standout for several reasons. The relationship between Francesca and Gabriel is very balanced in gifts and abilities, which was not the case in Dark Fire, with the human woman continuously doing absolutely stupid things and needing to be rescued every other page. I felt Darius deserved better. Here, Francesca is intelligent and strong. I also loved the great plot twist around Lucien, and the love between the twin brothers that survives centuries. I can't wait for his book. I hope his human lifemate has equally powerful attributes. This book opens the door for several others.I have always had Gregori and Julian as favorites, now Gabriel is right up there. Great book!!!!!
Rating: Summary: good, but she's done better Review: I'll try to give this review without giving away anything. I liked Dark Legend, but I felt it was more of a transitional story to introduce new characters' stories. I liked Francesca and Skyler's characters, but found Gabriel to be a little lacking. The author made Gabriel seem inept at the expense of making Lucien seem so powerful. The other Carpathian males we've learned about seem much more powerful than this "ancient". The book was good, but for my money, Dark Prince and Dark Magic are the best of the series.
Rating: Summary: The magic continues! Review: Christine Feehan has given us yet another great addition to the Carpathian saga. Awaken from centuries of slumber, Gabriel, legendary vampire hunter, awakens not only to find the world around him changed, but to find the brother he has spent years hunting awake, and a life mate who wants nothing to do with him. Readers are in for quite a ride as Gabriel hunts his beloved twin and try to convince Francesca, his life mate, that she should take a chance on him. Twist and turns abound as Ms. Feehan spins yet another unforgettable tale in her continuing saga of these masters of the dark, and the extraordinary women who give them back their light. Bravo Ms. Feehan! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to read more from this author. Also recommend Dark Prince, Dark Desire, Dark gold , Dark magic, Dark challenge and After twilight .
Rating: Summary: Darks Series entrances . . . Review: Well MS Feehan has done it again. She is continually writing stories that have you wanting more. I was caught from the first page and avidly read each word. Dark Legend is the story of Gabriel, one of the earliest vampire hunters. The ancient hunter fears he is close to turning, becoming that which he hunts - a vampire. Learn how Gabriel finds his lifemate, Francesca, a gifted healer. Read of the battles they endure to be together. Each page in this entrancing story brings you closer to the final confrontation between Gabriel and his oldest enemy. I waited anxiously for the climatic battle with . . . If you've read the other books in the Dark Series, you'll love this one. I couldn't put it down.
Rating: Summary: Another fascinating book! Review: I loved this book. Ms. Feehan is such a talented writer, every new book she writes becomes my "favorite". I'm impressed by how fresh and exciting she makes each book, and her latest is no exception. I especially loved the heroine in this book. She is incredible; one of the most interesting heroines of all time. This book is thrilling, captivating and definitely addictive!
Rating: Summary: We'll always have Paris? Review: This may sound like a quibble, but DARK LEGEND is set in Paris, Paris is mentioned on several occasions, yet for all the local color and feel that I got, it could have been Baton Rouge! If Feehan is going to set her books in interesting places, she should visit them and make them a part of the book. It's more than atmosphere. We all know that in many ways her books and characters are interchangeable - in fact, that's why many of us return to them. Changes in setting and in atmosphere would really improve them.
Rating: Summary: Best Yet! Review: This is the best book yet. The characters are better developed, and the little plot twist involving Lucien was a nice touch.
Rating: Summary: Delicious!!!! Review: I have read all of Christine Feehans books and have been waiting with baited breathe for this one! This one was worth the wait!! This book covers the story of the lost Carpathian twins, Gabriel and Lucien. Although the story revolves around Gabriel and his lifemate, Francesca, it does introduce you to Lucien.
