Summary: Christine Feehan is a new favorite!
Review: I have a few writers that I will buy the minute they publish, and Christine has now joined that list. Even if you haven't read her previous books, you can readily enjoy this book without wondering what happened that you missed. I love the connection between the main characters - twins with a strong loyal family tie, lifemates that were destined to balance one another. I also like the traits that Christine gives to male Carpathians, domineering, jealous, protective, and basically wrapped around their lifemate's little finger.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An Excellent Read
Review: This to me comes a close second to Dark Fire. Almost as good, but not quite. But, still I loved it. I particulary liked the fact that Francesca was a heroine who had got her life together and was able to stand on her own two feet. She doesn't really need Gabriel. In fact as far as she is concerned, for most of the story, he is messing up her well ordered life.

An excellent read and well up to the standard of the others in the Dark series. I am now eagerly awaiting the arrival of Dark Guardian in May then resigning myself to the long long wait until the next release in 2003. How can the publishers be so cruel!! There must be something that can be done. Maybe we could all start a email and letter campaign?!

Summary: Buy this book
Review: By far the best of Ms. Feehan's Dark series. Gabriel is a wonderful hero, as masculine and protective as any woman could want, without being as overwhelmingly autocratic about it as some of her other heros (yes Darius and Gregori, I'm talking about you). Even better, Francesca - gasp - actually has her life together: she has a non-marginal existance; she interacts with other humans as friends, something *none* of Ms. Feehan's other heroines (even the human ones) do; she's not fleeing the traumas that life has inflicted on her poor, naive, too good to be true, self. She's strong, she's made plans, and Gabriel has to convince her he can be a part of them. And he does. This is a great story about two well matched people growing together, and I can't wait for Lucien's story.

Summary: 5 Stars isnt enough tribute!
Review: I have been a voracious reader since I was old enough to read and Ive read thousands & thousands of books through the years, some good, some not-so-good. Christine Feehan's books ---- EVERY ONE of them --- are unique, fascinating, filled with the beautiful concept of love-everlasting and soul mates (life mates). DARK LEGEND is the newest in Christine's DARK SERIES and just as special as the previous ones. Christine has this wonderful talent of writing strong emotions that come sizzling right off the pages.
The story of the legendary twins Gabriel (and Lucien) has been long awaited. Francesca is Gabriel's lifemate, and a unique woman. She is a Carpathian and a healer. She and Gabriel are well matched.
This story keeps you turning those pages, anxious to get to the end to see what happens, yet reluctant to finish because it means you'll have another long wait for the next one!
ANOTHER FANTASTIC BOOK IN CHRISTINE'S DARK SERIES, AND A DEFINITE KEEPER AS ALL HER OTHERS ARE!

Summary: pretty good
Review: This is the latest "Dark" novel by C. Feehan, I have all the others and I'm going to save this one as well, BUT, this one isn't on a par with the others. This book lacks the punch of the other books in this series.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Never read a Feehan book before...
Review: But I certainly will pick up this author's work again! I'd heard lots of buzz about Ms. Feehan and her books, and since DARK LEGEND was the newest, I decided to give it a try, though I wondered if I should be starting the Carpathian series at the beginning. I truly enjoyed the book, and you DO NOT have to start at the beginning of the series to understand exactly who's who and what's going on in Feehan's mysterious world, where Carpathians/vampires live side-by-side with humans.

I was instantly drawn in to Feehan's fictitious world, and thoroughly enjoyed the book. The characters (Gabriel and Francesca) were people I could sympathize with and cheer for. There's lots of sex here, so if that's not your thing, just skim those sections--don't pass this book by for that reason. It's a wonderful read and deserving of all the positive buzz it's getting.

Summary: An all-nightrer despite the familiar plot
Review: I have read the whole dark series by Ms. Feehan and although I must admit that the characters and story line areall somewhat similar, I still couldn't put the book down. Mainly because it's such a great twist on the concept of vampires and the deep emotional response her books evokes on readers. I really can't wait to read about Lucien's story. If there's one thing I would like to see on the next book, it's for the female character to be a bit more easy-going rather than the standard "strong/stubborn/unbending yet vulnerable/weak" type. I can't help but wonder how a Carpathian male would handle an optimist for a change.

Summary: Can't wait till the next one!!!!
Review: Ahhhh!!! I wonderful addition to the "Dark" series. Riveting! Another wonderful book to be absorbed into.

Summary: Never fails to capture you.
Review: Once again Christine has let us into more of the Carpathians world. I absolutely adore all her books. Every time a new one is released I reread the whole series. I have read other vampire books but Christines can't be beaten. She is the best there is. I can't wait for Lucien's story. Please don't make us wait for that one.

I couldn't wait for Amazon UK to get it in stock, so I had it shipped over from the States. But, I always have two copies of each of her books and I have one on order from the UK site. I read them every few weeks that I have to have a backup copy.

Thank you Christine for giving us the world of the Carpathian's and keep them coming please.

Summary: Great new addition to the Dark series
Review: I've been awaiting Gabriel's story for ages, little realising that he would be upstaged by his lifemate, Francesca.

Gabriel is tired. He is awakened from a rest which lasted for a few centuries and immediately knows, that Lucian, his twin is also at large. Lucian, the twin who has apparently let the darkness win but who still maintains a strong connection to his brother and who, strangely enough, is still strongly protective of him.

Francesca is probably the most interesting Carpathian female to date. She has reached the full potential which a Carpathian woman can and is every bit as strong as any Carpathian male. Her power is not "diluted" in the manner in which Desari and Syndil's was, maybe because she has had to fend for herself for centuries. And, as a healer, she seems to be stronger even than Grigori!

The story is fascinating, as gripping as Dark Prince and Dark Desire were, the interrelationship between the main characters interesting. There is also a dark edge, both due to Gabriel's heartbreaking mission (destroying Lucian who behaves very atypically as a vampire) and due to Skyler's history of abuse.
