Summary: midnight embrace
Review: dark guardian is very good, but midnight embrace by amanda ashley should be read in addition to this book

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Another great one by a Great Author!!!
Review: After reading every book leading up to this one in the "Dark Series" I would say that Christine Feehan has another winner.
My favorite was "Dark Desire" But this one runs a close second after "Dark Magic".
I can barely wait to read "Dark Guardian" I am sure with Feehan's talent I won't be disappointed.

Summary: Good not Great
Review: I think this book only touched on some things that should have been exploited. Francesca had accomplished some pretty amazing things but they were pushed aside. It seems this book was written solely to set the stage for the next one and that shortchanged the characters in this one. I wanted more than it could provide. Still, buy it. I wouldn't miss any in the series.

Summary: Horribly disappointed
Review: I've read all the dark books, but this will probably be the last one I buy. There was a lot of repetitive phrases such "He could do no other." I kept feeling that this was just another retelling of all her other books. Same basic plot, same characters and I found the relationship between the brothers unrealistic. How many innocent humans did Lucian kill?

And why did Gabriel not recognize his mate? In the other books they see color immediately, but in this one, they were together forever before he finally saw color. Granted, that was "different" but it was inconsistant with the rules Ms. Feehan has established in her previous works.

There was no setting. Its supposed to be France and yet there was nothing in it to indicate that, not even the names of the characters. It could have taken place anywhere in America.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but to me the book felt rushed and I felt cheated. I got hooked on the series with Dark Prince and keep waiting for a return to that kind of magic and quality, but I haven't seen it in the last 3 books so I'm assuming the series has run its course and is no longer for me.

Summary: If I could give more than five stars, I would
Review: Like all the Dark series, I love this book. The moment when Lucian almost sacrificed his life so as not to turn vampire was very moving, and I found tears in my eyes. It was devastating to simply exist and not have hope to push you on in life.

Christine Feehan has this unique capability to entrance readers in all her Dark series. Even after reading this latest one in the series, I'm thirsty for more Christine Feehan books. I've read stories from other authors that have the tendency to get rather 'predictable' after a while, with repeated sentences (try and read a few Elizabeth Lowell books and you'll know what I mean...I don't mean to insult Lowell, I'm also a fan of hers, but after a while, there is a 'predicitability' and repeated quality in Lowell's books that I find cumbersome), but Feehan's books are very different - no predictable quality at all. In fact, she always managed to introduce new plots, fresh ideas, that get you hooked. Really hooked. What I love most is the 'element of surprise' in every Feehan novel. I am always caught by surprise everytime I read a new Dark novel, which makes me want to finish the book just to see what happens.

Congratulations on such an excellent effort. :) Can't wait for Lucian's story.

Review: i have enjoyed all of ms. feehan's books and cannot for the next but dark challenge has really captured my attention, the carpathian male is the kind of domineering being every domineering female is looking for. but julian is the best

Summary: A lost lifemate and a Carpathian to boot! Oh Wow!
Review: This was a great rebound for Ms. Feehan. She started to come back, in my eyes, with "Dark Fire" but this completed it.

Gabriel is an ancient who was sent out by Mikhail's, "Dark Prince", father to rid to world of vampires. He and his twin brother, Lucien, left together but his twin turned to the dark side..or did he? The brothers are finding it hard, still after hundreds of years, to break the bond between them even though one is the hunter and the other is the hunted. After a horrible fight together, Gabriel wakes and is looking to feed when he runs into a woman, Francesca Del Ponce, who offers her assistance. What comes from the chance meeting sets her life out of kilter and gives his a whole new meaning.

I cant wait for Lucien's story!! *kicks the publishers in the pants* HURRY UP!

Summary: dark lengend
Review: I really liked this book, Gabriel wakes up hungry because he took his twin brother <Lucien> to ground to stop him from destroy mortals. Well when he gets up he goes looking for food, which is where he finds Francesca <his life mate> well she freely offers her blood but not her independence, which Gabriel cruly takes from her. This was a really good book but she has written better, I hope she writes about Lucien more she left me wanting to know more about him.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: She's Back!!!
Review: I was worried about the author after reading her previous installment "Dark Fire." I really enjoyed all of her books up until that one. ...[Ms. Feehan is]... better than ever.... If you enjoyed the previous books you definitely won't want to miss this one!
