Rating: Summary: Wanted to like it but... Review: I read a 190 pages into this book and expected to be terrified or at least interested in this book based on people's reviews. but not much of anything was going on. Maybe this happens in the last 200 pages but I couldnt get through it.
Rating: Summary: I really enjoyed the book, but hated the ending. Review: I really did enjoy the book. I could barely put it down. The only reason I didn't give this book five stars is because I hated the ending. The personality of Shelley (a main character) under went a dramatic change of personality too quickly. The ending not only seemed to rush by, but it was terrible as well. What happened to her and her brother was the worst part for me. What happened to Kipling (another main character) shouldn't have. All in all, it was a great book with a lousy ending.
Rating: Summary: The Best Yet! Review: I stayed up 'til 1 a.m. finishing Heart of a Witch. I have read the past two novels and the is the best yet! Remember as you read that is is just a story! And it will let you escape to a world that is wonderful and exciting! I will look forward to anything new by Judith Hawkes and will read them straight through!
Rating: Summary: A book that battles Gone With the Wind as my favorite. Review: I think this book was excellently written. When doing a report on it for my freshman English class I was asked how to change the plot and now matter how long I thought about it I couldn't think of anything to say. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it but after a short time I couldn't put it down! It is very suspensefull and kept my attention during almost the whole book.

Rating: Summary: Absolutely Excellent Review: I thought this book was well thought out. As a witch of over 25 years myself, I think Judith Hawkes understands the belief. It is understood that some theatrics had to be added. Snow was a very strong figure throughout the book. And the twins were very well done.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Wonderful! Review: I was unable to put this book down. I hope the ending was not an "ending" at all, but rather a new beginning for a continuation. There's so much more I wanted to find out about the coven and where they relocated. I really think Shelly would love to find out about the baby and have that part of her life back again. I only hope Ms. Hawkes thinks the same way.
Rating: Summary: A 'must read' for horror fans in general Review: If you are looking for a suspenseful, thought provoking and very emotional tale that concerns witchcraft, then look no further. The Heart of a Witch delivers all this and much more. I can not praise Judith Hawke's enough for unleashing this intelligent and enormously entertaining tale for horror fans to enjoy. Everything, and I do mean everything, about this book is sheer perfection. The characters are so fully realized in every aspect, that you can't help but think they are real. The atmosphere just oozes from every page. The story she tells is so involving you will rediscover what the term "page-turner" really means. Where so many good novels fizzle out towards the end, this great novel actually retains it's momentum, and the ending is one of the best I have ever experienced. I highly encourage all horror fans who enjoy well structered and extremely satisfying books to seek this one out. This is a very powerful and unforgettable novel.....one that you will remember long after you finish reading it. Whether the actual events involving Wiccan beliefs are accurate or not is a moot point, for this is a fictional tale that delivers FICTION in the highest order.
Rating: Summary: Witchs do have Hearts! Review: If you like "supernatural" stories about magic, spells and such, then by george this book is for you! The story is all about twins, Shelley and Kip, who live across the street from an old,Victorian-style two story house. And no matter what time of day it is, there always seems to be people coming and going from that old house! As they grew older they took jobs there and came to discover that their quiet little town is the home of a secret coven, a witch coven! Along with the weight of keeping the coven's existince underwraps, they experience things that are not quite considered normal to most church-breed believers. This book is quite slow at the beginning, but if you give it time, I promise that it'll keep you hooked! I've read alot of books in my time but I honestly have to say that this is quite possibly the BEST book I have ever read! So yes, I do highly recommend it to almost anyone, well almost anyone! And be prepaired for the ending . . not that nothing will happen or anything! :) :)
Rating: Summary: A must read for all who like witches, magic and mayhem. Review: If you like witches, you'll love this. A great page turner for every book reader. This book has got love, fear, magic and power. Anyone who reads will want to read this!!
