Rating: Summary: A page-turning thriller. Review: After her parents' divorce and her mother's emotional breakdown, seventeen-year-old Joanna goes to live with her father in a small North Carolina town. Joanna learns a girl her age, Laurie Jenkins, dissapeared a few weeks ago. Joanna meets four of Laurie's friends, Penn, Casey, Stephen, and Tessa. Because she is in love with Penn, she ignores her growing suspicions about the group. But she better start trusting her instincts, or she could end up like Laurie - or worse. I highly reccomend this series to teens who enjoy thrillers. It was a very exciting page-turner.
Rating: Summary: A Less Than Suitable Replacement Review: Harper wanted to find someone to take L. J. Smith's place after she went to Archway and this is the untalented writer they find. Its interesting that this book (The Secret Diaries) takes a word out of each of Smith's successful Harper triologies (The Secret Circle &Vampire Diaries), but her book is dull, the characters plastic the plot idiotic. And then she will write the Vampire Twins Trilogy which like the Vampire Diaries will have a 4th book (not a common feature in trilogies) Can you possibly have a more blatent copycat?
Rating: Summary: The Secret is being told...very well! Review: Janice Harrell is a good author who knows how to write a story within a story. When you first start reading the book, you want to know who Laurie was and what happened to her, but then you change your focus on Joanna and wondering about her. She's struggling to fit in a group somewhere so she feels that she belongs. Family life isn't a place for her, so she tried to get in a clique a school. Then you get entangled again with Laurie's life and you are reading about both of their lives. I really like Joanna's character, and also the character of Penn. Casey gets on my nerves, but I think he's supposed to, so the writer does her job! The end leaves you hanging of course and its on to read #2, "The Betrayal".

Rating: Summary: The excitment of this book leads you to never put it down!! Review: Janice Harrell is a great author, but never have I read one of her books without putting it down. Temptation was a page turning thriller. I recommended it to all my friends and when they read they told it how good it was. One of the reason's why I read is because of books like this!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: The Suspense Keeper Review: Joanna just moved to live with her father in a new place where she doesn't know anyone. When she starts to fit in with a certain group she learns that this group has a secret. While falling in love with Penn, a member of the group, she doesn't realize how much trouble she is getting herself into until it is too late and she already knows their deep and dark secret.
Rating: Summary: The Cliffhanger Review: This book was always keeping me interested, not just about Laurie Jenkins but about Joanna and Penn. This book keeps you guessing until the last page and makes you crazy for wanting to read the sequels. If you love a book that has a mix of romance and mystery than you will love this book because it has all of that and more.
Rating: Summary: This Series Kicks Bootey Review: This trilgy of stories is the reason I love to read so much! I remeber back in 7th grade, I picked this book up on a whim, and I couldn't put the darn thing down until I read every single word! I highly recommed this one, as well as the other two in the series.
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK! Get this where ever you can! Review: Walking through my local bookstore one afternoon in December (lots of years ago) I found this book on a dusty old shelf.. and decided to buy it.. This normally isn't the kind of book I would grab but I was delightfully suprised.. I couldn't put this book down.. I read the whole book in 48 hours.. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a suspenseful novel without blood and gore.. This book will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. I haven't read the 2nd or 3rd in this series but I am expecting them soon. . . . .
