Summary: Great, Feist should abandon Midkemia for the real world
Review: I'm reading this back to-back with the "Serpent War Silliness Saga", cause our local library has gone a little Feist-crazy and bought all of his books.

Anyway, it's really hard to believe that the excellent one-of-a-kind dark fantasy/horror-novel "Faerie Tale" is written by the same guy responsible for the awful and inconsistent "Serpent War Stupidity"-series. Perhaps those were really written by some untalented hack and published under the Feist name/trademark?

I wish the real Raymond E.Feist would turn to dark fantasy/horror, but unfortunately another sequense of "Midkemian Boredom" is probably a more lucrative deal.

Summary: So much for rural bliss...
Review: Just when you thought it was safe to escape to the countryside, you're fighting half-seen horrors that make your flesh creep. "Faerie Tale" is an excellent rendition of the Legends We Thought We Were Too Modern To Believe Suddenly Start To Get To Us fable. Those who enjoyed Faerie Tale might also like the "Dark Is Rising" series by Susan Cooper--billed as young-reader books but enjoyable by adult fantasy fans, too.

Summary: A "Must Read" for any fantasy fan!
Review: Quite simply my favorite single-volume fantasy novel ever... and on my top ten overall! His skillfull mixing of Irish folklore, fantasy, and pychological horror make this unique volume a true "Can't put it down" stroke of genius. Do yourself a favor and get it!

Summary: One of the worst I've ever read!!!!!!!!!
Review: I have read almost all of raymonds books, and I have enjoyed reading all of them. however, this book is another story. The plot and the story was ok, but it was extremly slow. I could usually stay up all night reading a good book, but I had trouble reading for more than 30 minuts at a time.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great book but a tease once it's finished.
Review: I really loved this book. It was scary and emotional and really stirred my more primitive and basic insticts. It could turn me on one minute then scare me the next. So I liked it. The problem really though is that there are no others like it. He's written a million of other books but all are series related where you really have to stick with it. So I'm left loving the writting but hating how there is no more of it. So as I said, it's a tease. I would still read it again...

Summary: This book was one of the best I've ever read!!!!
Review: I enjoyed every minute of the book. It drew me in and enveloped me into the plot. Feist's mix of real Irish Folk Lore with dark fantasy was classic. I've read the book twice, and look foward to reading in the future.

Summary: Fantastic book haven't found another like it
Review: I read this book quit some time ago and have tried to find another with a simular story line and have not. I wish Fiest would write another like it,but a may be hard to duplicate this book, it was great.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A look at the darker side of fantasy
Review: I loved this book! As an avid fantasy reader, this ranks as one of the best on my list. Feist did an excellent job with the writing, and the fantasy and real-life aspects blend seamlessly. The plot was thought-provoking, and more than a little scary. I would recommend this book to any fantasy lover, and have done so.

Summary: A fairie tale that's not for kids.
Review: Dark and lurid, this novel pulls out all of the stops when a California family finds that fairies do exist, and that they are not all so kind and gentle. This could make a good movie, get Sam Neil as the fool, Richard Harris as Barney, Anthony Hopkins as Mark, and Martin Sheen as Phil and Wolfgang Petersen as director, then it could be a classic!

Summary: An Irish family and Faeires
Review: I have read this book once and that was about a mth ago and now I'm reading it for the 2nd time at the moment... This is one of his best books ever I think... Keeps the reader wanting to know more about what is going to happen to this Irish family and those who are friends or accqautinces of the family... A must read book... Totally gripping aand keeps you wanting to know more... This book would have to be my all time fav book in the world and he would have to be my fav writer... This boook is for those who don't even like fantasy/horror/Sci-Fic.... AN EXCELLENT AND MUST READ BOOK
