Summary: This Book Could Not Be Any Better!
Review:

Susan Garrett, in remaining true to the characters of the television show Forever Knight, has not only managed to go beyond the premise of Nick Knight's angst of his killer nature and desire to escape his dark world of almost 800 years, but also make him ask: What does humanity stand for? And what makes someone human? Faced with two different worlds, his dream world brought upon by a mysterious doll, and the real world, Nick soon finds himself torn between himself as a vampire in the real world, and mortal in the dream world. In his dream world, he must choose between personal desires and what is best for himself and other mortals. At the same time, the vampires (who are mortals in the real world, i.e. Natalie) must struggle between the vampire law, the bloodlust that helps them survive, and their lingering attachments to the mortal world left behind, as well as feelings for some of those mortals. The mirror effect, at times poignant and at times joyous, manages to convey Nick's struggle between mortality, justice, and love; the issue of his very survival in each existence making him question what it means to "walk in the light", particularly when the worlds collide, with very mixed results.

The moral seems to be that "the grass is not always greener", that mortality does not necessarily equal morality and that what Nick Knight may ultimately seek is not mortality per se, but redemption. Wonderful job!

Summary: I LOVED this book!!!
Review: As a dedicated Forever Knight fan I was devestated when they cancelled this amazing series. I had no idea there were any Forever Knight novels out. When I stumbled across Intimations, I immediatly bought it. I read couldn't put it down, and had it read in a few hours! It was exciting and dramatic, and really captured the characters. It was a great book and I hope that Susan Garrett writes many more books!

Summary: Incredible!!
Review: As always, an incredible, page-turning FK novel/fanfiction by Susan Garrett. The best, by far! In the beginning, I was bored by the dreams, but then they got intense and interesting!! Not a let-down(of course).

Summary: And do we not live in dreams?
Review: Being allowed to write this novel was really a fabulous piece of luck. It was a chance to share my love of Forever Knight with a paperback instead of an electronic audience.

I feel the strength of Forever Knight rests with Nick and his quest for mortality--that his belief that he will find some sort of peace and/or redemption through good works gives the viewer a sense of hope. What more powerful message is there than that by giving something positive back to the world you might somehow eradicate your own misdeeds or missed opportunities?

Nick often seems to believe that he knows what's best for everyone around him, which isn't often the case. I wanted to explore that in this novel, as well as his own feelings about what vampirism means to him, what he wants out of his quest for mortality, and what, exactly, he's willing to pay for the privilege.

I hope you enjoy the novel. Comments are always welcome.

Summary: Two realities make an ingenious novel!
Review: Even if you have never seen the Forever Knight television series this is a gripping novel. The main character, Nick, has two realities. One while awake and one while sleeping. Each reality flows into the other building tension and keeping the reader on edge. Even if it is your intention to read slowly, it is impossible with this exciting story. Susan Garrett's knowledge and love for the characters is very apparent. I would definately recommend this book and would buy any other book that Susan Garrett writes.

Summary: Vampires, Mortals & Cops, Oh My!
Review: For fans of the TV show Forever Knight, fans of Vampires, Scince Fiction or even just exciting drama, I highly recommend Susan's book. She does an excellent job of capturing the characters and their struggles as both vampires and mortals. In Susan's topsy turvy Forever Knight Universe, it's difficult to point out the bad guys or even choose a side. It's exciting from the beginning and my only disappointment was in putting it down at the end. Buy it, read it, you'll definitely enjoy it!

Summary: Loved it, Loved it, Loved it
Review: I absolutely LOVED this book. It, I think, was the best book I may have ever read, and thats not a little collection. This book was interesting, detailed, and would tear a patient person to bits. Susan, if youre reading, you did a great job and I'm waiting for your next *Forever Knight* novel (notice my enphasis on Forever Knight). The best part about the book I think was how Nick was becoming a vampire in the dream world. I just thought that was pretty interesting to read. Anyways, I think the book should be rated 100 but only went up to 10 so sorry, but you know my rating.

Summary: The BEST F.K. book yet!
Review: I just loved this book! It had just the right elements in it. I just wish now I could see it on screen, TV at least! Keep up the good work!

Summary: it just keeps getting better & better...
Review: I knew before I read "Intimations of Mortality" that it would be wonderful; Susan is a gifted artist and I've loved reading all the stories she has posted online. With the book she stayed true to form, from Nick's angst onward. The idea was brilliant too; let's make Nick think about what he REALLY wants. I read the story in one sitting, and am eagerly awaiting the release of the next novel.

Summary: A great book about acceptance...and it's got vampires too!
Review: I knew this book was going to be good before I read it, but good doesn't even describe it. It is the best TV tie-in novel I've ever read.
Susan seems to know the characters of Forever Knight better than the writers of the show.
I love the way the story flowed from one reality to the other, leaving us to question which was real. There were time when I really began to question which is the real reality. The end was the best part. I don't want to give it away, but I do have to say, Bravo Susan... When do we get another one?
