Rating: Summary: THE STEPBROTHER Review: Ever since Sondra's stepbrother moved in, she's been having these nightmares. Nightmares about her death. But what she doesn't know is that the events Sondra is remembering is from a past life. And now she believes, with help from her friends and a psychic, that the person from the past is after her in this life. All fingers are pointing towards her stepbrother ... could it be him? With a great plot and an ending that will surprise you, The Stepbrother is one of R.L. Stine's best novels in the Fear Street series. Even though I'm 22 years old, I love the Fear Street series. There are even some that scare me to the bone (honestly). Hey, I know you're laughing at me! There are adults out there who do read the Fear Street books. Honest to god!!!

Rating: Summary: One of my favorite Fear Street books. Review: Sondra is an ordinary seventeen-year-old girl, or so she thinks. Then she allows her best friend, Mallory, to hypnotize her. She has a terrifying vision of burning alive, and then starts to have similiar dreams. She visits a psychic who says that Sondra may have died in a fire during a past life as a girl named Penny, and that her killer may be after her in this life as well. Sondra's boyfriend, Zach, thinks it is Sondra's stepbrother, Eric. Eric thinks it's Zach. And Mallory starts to act more and more mysterious. If Sondra doesn't find out the truth soon, she may die in this life as well. This was an exciting, page-turning book. Once I started it, I could not put it down. And the ending was the complete opposite of what I expected, which was good.

Rating: Summary: Creepy with a surprise ending - an excellent book! Review: The main character of this book, Sondra, begins having dreams about her past life as a girl named Penny after she is hypnotized by her best friend, Mallory. Mallory and a local psychic convince her that she is in danger because of her past life as Penny. Soon Sondra is terrified that her new stepbrother, Eric, is going to kill her. I won't tell you who is REALLY after Sondra, but you're going to be surprised. (I was.) I gave the book a 9 because it was kind of slow-paced in parts, but it was overall a very good book.
