Rating: Summary: Rereading this after about 13 years... Review: I think I read this for the first time when I was about 14, and I went back & reread it when I was moving books to my new house last year, and I was amazed by how suspenseful it still is (and how much knowing how the Beatles' song BLACKBIRD goes improves my reading of certain scenes). I don't know why they don't turn this into a movie - maybe it's the Happy Ending component, maybe it's the fact that there's a lot of drinking in the book by high school seniors (note: back in the mid-80's, when this book was written, the drinking age was 18), but this is a really great tale about families and good friends - there are scary parts, too, but the goodness of some of the characters is such a positive.

Rating: Summary: The best that Pike has ever wrote!! Review: I thought that this was the best book that Christopher Pike has ever writen. It actually has a happy ending.I LOVED IT!!!
Rating: Summary: great, but not his best Review: If you are interested in books that once you start it, you can't put it down, this on is for you! (I started it last night, and finished it 2 hours later!) I really enjoyed this book, as do I with all of Pike's books, however, this wasn't as good as, say, Chain Letter, or the ancient evil. The plot was great, I never would have suspected ------- to be behind it all! Keep up the good work, Christopher Pike!
Rating: Summary: MEMORABLE Review: It's been over a decade since I first read Weekend, yet I still vividly remember the story and characters. My 2-year-old loves to have his hair gently tugged, which reminded me of the story's heroine. Pike must have drawn believable, interesting characters for me to recall that! I think I need to reread the story soon. Very little fiction I have read recently can compare.
Rating: Summary: very good Review: Like everyone said, it was one of his early works and I thinkthat he's come along way. Pike wrote a very good book that took myinterest. Then at the end it looked as if he couldn't think of who flynn was so he made up an incredible story. Either I have a very short memory or it was never said in the book until the end about Robin and Flynn (I don't think I can say more. Anyway, it was a really good and interesting book but I have to say it wasn't his BEST work. But if this was his latest book that I was reading maybe it would be but it's not.
Rating: Summary: Who do you trust? Review: Several friends meet at a beach house and party. Then mysterious things begin to happen. Will anyone survive? Someone wants major revenge. WEEKEND is more light-hearted than most Pike books.
Rating: Summary: joe's review Review: Shani and her friends decide to go on a weekend adventure to Mexico. Cute boys make the girls nervous. Many secrets are revealed when they find things such as guns, knifes, and stories. More secrets keep popping up out of no where until Shani puts the pieces together. The terror lasted till the weekend was out. When they got home they decided to never go on another vacation because of what they had went through on this vacation. I liked the book very well.
Rating: Summary: GOOD Review: Shani and her friends go on a weekend adventure to Mexico. Cute boys make the girls nervous and vice verca. Hidden secrets are revealed when guns and stories appear. More secrets keep popping up out of no where until Shani puts the peices together. This book shows that you shouldn't trust everyone that you meet, because even the cute guys hold secrets no one wants to know.
Rating: Summary: Weekend Review: THE DREAM BECAME A NIGHTMARE.
The weekend in Mexico sounded like a dream vacation. Four guys, five girls--and a gorgeous oceanside manison all to themselves. It should have been perfect.
Except nothing was going the way they'd planned. There was the girl upstairs who was fighting for her life. The phone lines that went dead. And the explosion in the garage that could have killed them all.
But not even that prepared them for what happened next. Because while they were getting some sun, someone else was getting revenge--and the terror wouldn't stop until the weekend was over.
