Rating: Summary: Book Review Review: Even though I'm not a fan of horror stories, I definitely recommend picking up this book. Anybody who watched old 80's slasher flicks and action movies will pick up on this author's vibe. From the first story to the last one, the graphic detail the author uses is unflinching. You will be horrified as to what's going on inside this person's mind. However, as brutally gruesome as the stories are, you'll want to keep going until the story's conclusion. For example, in the first story 'Remembering Emma', some of the graphic depictions will make your skin crawl and be extremely disturbing. You'll wonder what kind of individual could create something so horrible. But what will be more disturbing is the fact that you'll want to keep going. It attacks your senses and doesn't let go until the very end. Some stories were more phychological than physical in their presentation, with genres ranging from science fiction to Southern Gothic. Whether you're a horror fiction affectionado or just looking for a book to scare the hell out of you, this book is for you.

Rating: Summary: Snippets of Midnight Review: This book was amazing. I haven't read stuff like this in years. I nice blending of action and excitement with some real dark horror. I saw elements of Hitchcock, early King, and Lovecraft, but the style here is all J.T. Savoy. I especially liked how Savoy weaved in and out of the supernatural stories with an excellent blend of more human interest stuff without losing that creepy feeling that makes horror stories great. I flew through this book in no time at all. I just couldn't put it down. And Zoe Chandler is perhaps the grittiest heroine to come along in some time. Thumbs up all the way for me. I hope to see more books by Savoy.
