Summary: Truly Amazing...
Review: "Science fiction? Fantasy? (or "Science fantasy" as Norm calls it) No thanks... I'm not into that stuff..." At least... that's what I THOUGHT... until I read this... I'd been told this book was amazing... and I'm not usually into stuff like this at all... but I decided to pick it up anyway and give it a try. Then I couldn't put it down!! It was so easy to fall in love with Steef! His eagerness and innocence is so inspiring. It's hard not to find yourself wishing you too have friends like Seafwood and Kivverr. The story is so amazingly written that it seems you're there with them cheering them all on. I absolutely LOVE it!! I'm trying to get my friends to read it too so I'll have someone I can talk to about it! Can't wait to see it at the movies!! Til then.. waiting for the sequel...

Review: A very very good book, the best i have read in years. Norm Thabits characters are more original than Harry Potter, more colorful than Bilbo baggins, with a plot that grips you, not letting you go until the very end. I cannot wait for Mr Thabits next book.

Review: Every once in a while, a book comes along that goes beyond entertainment, and elevates and involves the reader in all aspects of the story as well as the outcome. Sticks and stones by Norm Thabit is such a book. It starts softly, by with such promise and possibility in the first chapter, that sparks our imagination, while at the same time building a foundation for a world we have never seen before, but have no problem relating to. Once the foundation is laid, this author Delivers so many surprises and innovations that before you know it, you have reached the point where you "can't put it down." This world's inhabitants and their, to say the least, distinctions, are so engaging and fully formed, that identifying with them is as natural as real life. Social commentary and a Great Purpose are so carefully woven into this novel, that you're pulling for our young phenomenon before you know it. Creatures, new to literature, are here also, and have their own social structures that mesh together in this story as natural as breathing. And they're not the enemy. If you want to be carried away. If you want to explore and identify with a very believable world, peopled with characters both flawed and noble, make this a MUST READ. No matter where your interests lie, this book is a future classic with style and power and is a pure pleasure to read.

Summary: A delightful story on many levels
Review: For readers of fantasy, this is a delightful story that moves on several levels. The characters are very human with various superhuman qualities. Good battles evil, but with unique weapons and without "out of the blue" interventions. It may take a while to get into the story, but it unfolds at a quickening pace. Occasionally preachy characters enter, but more often the messages of the story are subtle and presented with charm. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I can hardly wait till my young son is old enough to understand what I am reading to him. Sticks and Stones will be one of the first "tales" he will remember. No questionable content just great fun. Norm, this one is on my top ten list, right up there with Tolkien. Thanks for a book EVERYONE needs to read!!!

Review: I am not much of a fantansy fan but my husband raved about this book so I had to read it. The author writes in such a way that it grabs your attention. The reader cannot help but be facinated by the hero. Although it is written about an alternative world, it is so thoroughly explained that the reader begins to see the world in which the characters live. I couldn't put it down.

Review: I have never written a review, so I'm not sure I can do justice to the author - but I will certainly try! This book was wonderfully written! I was enjoying my journey through each chapter and each adventure of my new found friends (the characters in this book) so much that I was actually sad to have it come to an end. I can only hope there is a sequel, and fast. While learning the ways of this society, one can only imagine how wonderful it would be to live right alongside the characters as they live and grow daily, faced with the new challenges that are met with ingenuity and skill! Surprises, skills, and imagination meet head-on throughout the story, and thrill the reader endlessly! Congratulations to the author and please grace us with another!!
