Summary: not so good and let me tell you why...
Review: 1st: i understand this is a first novel but todd's editor should have really worked harder on cleaning up the mistakes and repetitions.

2nd: (SPOILER BUT REALLY IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFOREHAND) 3 animals are killed in this novel which ruined the book for me. period.

3rd: the whole storyline was weak and the ending was no surprise.

4th: i would have focused more on the character developments. i never found out who the ghost girl was in the beginning and that bugged me.

5th: todd has the potential to really shine, he just needs to not spread himself so thin - otherwise the bond between the reader and the books characters will suffer.

Summary: Great gothic tale of horror and suspense.
Review: I found this book to be totally enthralling and it scared the hell out of me. Set in the mysterious old south city of Savannah, it will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. You definately should read with ALL the lights on.

The entire book is creepy but some parts are totally scary and scared the hell outa me.

For people who love thrillers/ghosts/deamon books, get this one.
