Rating: Summary: A re-release of two great stories Review: I want to set the record straight, a previous reviewer said that this was a compilation of "The Holmes-Dracula Files" and "The Dracula Tapes". It's not, the two books are "Thorn" and "Old Friend of the Family". "Thorn" is about Dracula's life in Italy and Hungary before he "died" and modern day New Mexico. A great read and my favorite in the whole series. "Old Friend of the Family" is set in modern Chicago and the descendants of Mina Harker.

Rating: Summary: a very personal and humorous Dracula Review: This seems to be the compilation of two of Fred Saberhagen's former titles in the Dracula series, "The Dracula Tape" and "The Holmes-Dracula File". The best I can tell you without spoiling anything for you is that this "tapes" are recorded by Dracula himself not so long ago, and that we will find here old acquaintances, like Mina, Lucy, or Van Helsing... but under a very different, personal and often even humorous light.Well, if you like both characters, Dracula and Holmes, you're in for a few surprises in "the Holmes-Dracula" files, too... but not at all in the same way as in the comic "scarlet in gaslight" by Seppo and Makinnen, which featured the two same characters...
