Rating: Summary: a smart person gets a home and loses it Review: General Horse Spittle! If you dont like these books and you think these girls sre stupid im going to ask you not to put anymore things on here becauz if you think these charters are morons you shouldnt be readin vc andrews so get the BEEEEEEEP Out I dont want to say the bad word case smaller kids might get on here and I dont want to ruin their BRAINS LIKE YOU!
Rating: Summary: Crystal.... not a gem..not to me. Review: Honestly, I don't like "Crystal".
There are a couple of lines that could really confuse kids.
Plus, the people in it and the situations are so off-putting.
I don't know what it is with 'Virginia Andrews' characters all being wacko, especially sexually.
And both Crystal and her best friend having always longed to "play Doctor"..??????? This book is just Sick!!!
Most of it was just nauseating
I found myself disliking all the characters and not caring what happened to them.
And the sudden phone call informing Crystal of her foster parents' death , at the end, seemed so out-of-the-blue that it was almost like.. a cop-out. (Similisr to Mr. Harvey's sudden death by falling icicle in The Lovely Bones)
Overall!!!!.. This book just really left me with a gross taste in my mouth.
(Please. No cracks like "stop eating the pages" I'm predicting this already)
Anyway, I;m so glad I'm through with it!
I stuck it in my bookshelf after I'd finally finished it and couldn't help thinking to myself, "What a load of crap that was!"
Actually, I was reading the final chapters in my Specialists waiting room and I thought of just leaving it there among the magazines when I left. But my conscience wouldn't allow it.What if some other poor person actually decided to READ IT!!!
That wouldn't be fair.
(I'm not trying to be funny.I swear to God I honestly thought this)
So now this yucky-yucky book is on my bottom shelf, never to be touched again!!!!
(It's just gross,I hate it.)
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I am curently reading the book but i just can't put it down. It is just such a great book. Almost anyone would love this book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book Review: I am just writing to say what an excellent book it is for age groups 13 onwards worth reading
Rating: Summary: Finally!! Review: I am so glad this book is finally out. I liked Janet alot better than Crystal. Her personality really reminded me of the oldest daughter in Flowers In The Attic. I can't wait for the next one. Brooke sounds really good from the insert in the back of Crystal. Runaways should be wonderful. I want that other Melody book to come out.
Rating: Summary: O.K. Review: I did not like Crystal at all. I thought she was kind of snotty and had a big ego on her. The plot was good and stuff, but I did not like the character at all. I also didn't like how quickly it ended. up until the last few pages,Crystal finally said something about it finally feeling like a family. And then they go and die. I figured the author would go more into being a family for at least more then one paragraph. I think that way it would have been more sympathic if it would have gone into them feeling more like a family.
Rating: Summary: I miss the real V.C. Andrews Review: I don't like the way that these books are being written. I have been a faithful V.C. Andrews reader since I was about 12. I haven't missed one yet. This was a quick reading story. But that is all it was...a story. I need to read them for more than one day to really get into them. I like to savor them because I can relate to them. They began the conflict but left everything unfinished. They leaving me feeling like I have paid for a peak into the lives of the characters but I caould only peek. AS fast as you an blink it was over and I felt like I had missed something. I want the real V.C. Andrews back!!!
Rating: Summary: Good, but missing authors tell tale secrets Review: I enjoyed this book, but it really is lacking in the area of secrets. I am used to the author building up to the secrets. A short read, but nevertheless a good one.
Rating: Summary: Very Good but could've been a little better. Review: I have really enjoyed this one but I wish that Crystal could've had one last kiss with Bernie before she left. It would've been neat if she could've lived with Ashley at the end. Out of all this was a very good book, good plot.
Rating: Summary: disappointing Review: I liked Butterfly better, but neither one was all that great. The story was kind of boring until the last few chapters, and then when it finally gets interesting, the book ends. I wonder if all of the orphan books will be basically the same story line, just different character. If so, there really is no point in reading all four books. The author should have just started the series with the Runaways.
