Rating: Summary: Kids, read this Review: It's been a long, long time since I first picked up Spooksvillenumber one ... , but I'll never forget the great feeling it left me with at the end. It was the first book of Mr. Pike I had ever read. Christopher Pike is, and probably always will be, my fave. author, becuase of his uncanny ability to know what people want and deliver. I'm approaching ... but I still look for more Spooksville titles along with the Matt Reilly and Tom Clancy I read today. It's a great series for youngsters because it doesn't treat them like fools who run to their mommies at the first sign of trouble expecting them to be believed. The charcters, young as they are, take matters into their own ahnds and rely on each other rather than adults. .... In conclusion, read every Spooksville you can find because the stories are sensational and the characters are BELIEVABLE. Also, stop at nothing to read anything with Christopher Pike's name on it, especially The Last Vampire Series.
Rating: Summary: the best Review: RL Stine got boring and even though this series is for younger readers I tried it and loved it. I've read all the books up to #23and loved the way the characters devloped throught the series. Adam is a natural leader and is no longer so niave, a good problem solver. Watch is the smart guy, kinda sad, and kinda an odd ball but i spend time at the cemetary too so what can i say. Sally is forever sarcastic and funny, always getting her self in trouble. Cindy is always there for her friends and isn't tough often but isn't just a goddy-two-shoes Bryce is learning but will always be too arrogent for his own good. Permant characters like Ann Tempelton and Bum and new group members like Tara and accaintances like Mireen and Ek always keep the story running and fun. Christopher Pike you have a great series.
Rating: Summary: A good introduction to the Spooksville series. Review: The Secret Path, a roadway to new realms and the pathway to dangers. Guided by Bum, Adam, Sally and Watch take the Secret Path and face dangers of which death is the most tame. I would like to say that what i like most about the Spooksville series are the relationships and the love and affection each character shows the other, and i knda identify with and like Watch very much, and also Bryce, even though he is very arrogant. They are always ready to risk their lives to save one another and i am impressed by their bravery, not to mention the scary parts. I feel there is more to spooksville than horror, as they discuss problems like pollution as in Aliens in the Sky and Attack of the Killer Crabs. Anyway i love the series and Mr. Pike, thanks a lot.
Rating: Summary: I think you have a good imagination, cause I like this book. Review: This book "Spooksville The Secret Path" is the only book of yours that I read, and I really like it.And I hope I get to read more of your books. I am doing a report for school right now on your book.
Rating: Summary: I LOVED this book!!! Review: This book I think is the BEST book I have ever read! It was scary and I couldn't put it down! I would recommend this book to kids who like witches and ghosts, skeletons and black knights. Human eating trees and spooky grave yards. I would like to thank my friend Katie for letting me borrow it.
