Summary: Seat Gripping
Review: I've just finished reading Raven yesterday and I totally loved it, even thought some scenes scared me(u know which-with the uncle adn the abuse). The book was good but the qwriting style is definatelly different. Since V.C Andrews passed away her family has been writing the books adn they're almost like a sugar substitute for the real thing. Sweet but not quite there. She gave more depth, the houses were more descriptive and the evil sisters, cousins, mommas, grannys etc, were REAL bitchy. But so far I have Heaven series to read, didn't get to those yet. All in it's time I suppose. Ruby series I loved! And the Flowers in the attic to! Great books for those cold snowy winter days!

All in it's time I suppose. I also loved Ruby and the Flowers in the attic ... Great books for those cold snowy winter days!

Summary: The best one of the orphan series yet.
Review: If you liked the other three orphan books you will love Raven. Unlike all of the others she was not born an orphan so that make this one a little difference than the rest. In my opinion Raven is the one who has to endure the most pain of becoming an orphan. Once you pick up this book and start to read it you will not want to put it down until you are finished.

Summary: THIS IS A MUST READ
Review: My mom went out one day because she was tired of seeing me not reading and thought that kids should read in the summer. So she bought me the whole orphans set ( Butterfly,Crystal,Brooke,Raven and Runaways) I thought Raven was an excellent book , how she stood up to her uncle Rueben and Jennifer . I think that her Uncle was so horrible to her. Anyway I have read 3 out of 5 books since June28,1999 and I can't stop V.C. Andrews ( ghost writer) has done an excelent job on thisbook . I am 13 and I am keeping these books for my children. I think I have made my mom so happy to see me read instead of watching t.v. or other non reading things

Summary: This book is seriously lacking..
Review: Not since Catherine has there been a likable character in any V.C. Andrews book. To tell you the truth, I do not care what happens to Raven or any of her little abandoned friends. I can see why their mothers ditched them. They were all either annoyingly weak or arrogant little brats. What's there to like? Catherine was human, she was confused, made bad decisions, and was motivated by revenge. Who has showed any real back-bone since her? No one, except maybe the plethora of black-hearted grandmothers. The rest of her stories are infected by innocent do-gooders who have been sinned against, but do nothing about it. The tormentor usually dies. You might be asking why I keep reading these books. I don't really know..

Summary: A little darker, but still immature
Review: Okay, this one was a little bit darker, but still I felt like I was being talked down to. If I were a teenager I would feel offended that the author feels they need to alter their writing style to make me interested in reading. Ick.

Review: Omi g'ash! This book so totally rocked! I cried, I laughed, It was really one of the best VC Andrews books AND it wasn't about a "pretty" WHITE girl. I am white and I am glad to see that Raven was half cuban! Go out AND BUY THIS NOW!!!

Summary: Great Book!
Review: Raven has to be the best of the Orphan Series so far! It was different from the other three because Raven was with her mother for most of her life where Janet, Crystal, and Brooke were in orphanages most of theirs. I couldn't believe how awful Jennifer and Rueben was to Raven! This story is truely a classic V.C. Andrews book and I highly recommend this and all the other Andrews novels to anyone who enjoys horror. I can't wait until her next book, The Runaways, is out in stores! If you have any questions about this book or any of her others e-mail me.

Summary: Totally Excellent
Review: Raven is another excellent book by Virginia. It was thrilling as well as being sad and sympathetic. Well done Virginia (and family) on another great book. Even though your gone, your memories will live on in a lot of hearts.
