Summary: so far the orphans have been terrible
Review: I am a huge V. C. Andrews fan, I love each and every one of her series, except this new one. I like the idea of the miniseries like the green mile from stephen king, but these books are so immature, I feel like their Fear Street books, when I'm used to adult novels from v. c. Butterfly and Brooke were so alike it was silly, same overpowering mother trying to turn them into something they're not, now I'm sure Raven will be just like Crystal. Since the Runaways is supposed to be a full novel, I just hope it makes up for this boring series. But being the devoted V. C. follower I am, I must buy these books because it puts the illusion that V. C. is still published novels. I can't wait for Muted Voices, the Logan series was very good. ~Tom Nordlum

Summary: This isn't getting any better!
Review: I am incredibly disappointed with this series, it is so juvenile and it just keeps getting worse. I am an adult here!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A Short Story with a predictable ending.
Review: I didn't really like Butterfly, but I loved Crystal. Brooke wasn't very good either. The author barely gave the character a chance to growand it was too predictable. I hope that Raven is better. I can't wait for this series to end. The Logan series was much better. I wish that the ghost writer wouldn't waste his time with these short stories. I finished Brooke in less than two hours. Hopefully the next series will be better. Maybe Runaways will be more satisfying.

Summary: I happen to like this book a lot!
Review: I don't see what all the fuss is about! I thought Brooke was a GREAT book. I didn't like Butterfly, Crstyal was good, and Ill give you a hint; Raven is the BEST so far!!

Summary: 3 Stars...only
Review: I give all V.C Andrews book a 5 star rating. Especially the Flowers in the Attic and The Runaways series. But this book was a load of guff. Pamela is overdone so take her outta the oven already! Peter was okay and so was Brooke but the whole book was only 3 stars because it had no twists, no Ms Andrews sudden turns for the worst! Like in Crystal when her foster parents died. Or Flowers in the Attic where the father suddenly dies on the night of his Birthday! No but Brooke just suddenly leaves. She just suddenly disappears from Pamela and Peter.

Her character is Runaways is much better as she talks about her 'sisters' from her point of view. She suddenly changes from a person ungrateful to her foster parents (which I don't blame because of the turkey called Pamela) and into a woman who drives a car and is always blunt and to the point. Everyone seems to be out of character. I'm sorry but this book deserves ONLY 3 STARS!

Summary: these books are too short
Review: I have just read Butterfly, Crystal and Brooke, and I am now waiting for Raven. I wish these books were longer, and like most everyone else I wish they weren't so much alike. I have read every series sine Flowers In The Attic. And this new series only dissapoints me because it seems a lot more immature. There really isnt any good hot and steamy scenes in these books. I know the girls are young. But so was the girls in all of the other series. The real VC Andrews could take something that is totally wrong and immoral and make you wish it would happen. "Like the brother and sister in FITA" I just wish there was more of that in these books. Now I am just waiting for Raven, and hoping there is just a little more action in this one.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Short and perdictable
Review: I have read all the books in the orphan series ecept the very last one where all the girls meet. I found the books to short and perdictable they all follow the same story line. I just hope the last one is more dramatic. However good for a short read.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Nothing New in the 3rd book of the Orphan series.
Review: I have read Butterfly, Crystal and Brooke. I beleave that by the time I read the Third Novel I already new what was going to happen to Brooke. It is a given fact that all the girls are going to end up in the same place by the Fourth novel. So realy all the guess work in these books are gone. They all seem to have the same kind of story. New mother needs the Orphan to be just like her. Something goes wrong and they are sent to the same home. I thought that maybe Raven might be a little differant but after I read the preview at the end of Brooke, I think they gave the story away becaus to much of the information was given. I have no desire to read Raven now. I might read Runaways to see what happens to them but at this time it is it for me with the Orphan Series.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Brooke- Bringing in the younger generation
Review: I have read the whole orphan series. Butterfly, Crystal, Brooke, Raven and of course Runaways. I enjoy V. C. Andrews. This is a series that will bring in a younger generation of readers. Brooke is about an orphan who finally finds adoptive parents, and learns from then that even with parents you can still be alone in this world. I recommend this whole series . I feel that teenagers would get the most out of this series. Yet I do recommend it to all readers, Especially parents of teens. Teen life has much turmoil and this series can show you the extreme that you may not have experienced.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Blah :-(
Review: I have to admit and agree with many VC Andrews fans -- these 'new' books written under her name are getting worser by the second! I'm a teenager and yet, I find these ORPHAN series to be very immature and unrealistic. It's totally unlike VC Andrew's original magnificent writing style. These books are more two-dimensional, lacks depth, and lacks mystery. Boy, it is a 1000 times more refreshing to reread the Casteel series which was originally written by VC Andrews. I really don't recommend these new books in the Orphan series unless you are under the age of 12.
