Summary: My First Diane Hoh Book
Review: Forty-six years ago, a 15-year-old girl named Juliet accidentally drowned in a nearby lake just before her long-awaited Sweet Sixteen birthday party. Now, in 1991, Juliet's ghost appears to another 15-year-old girl, Megan Logan. In just a few weeks Megan will be celebrating her own Sweet Sixteen birthday, but, in the meantime, Juliet pleads for Megan to trade places with her for just one week. At first, Megan is reluctant and scared, but she eventually gives in after hearing Juliet's sad story of dying so young.

Once Juliet makes the physical transition into Megan's body, she doesn't waste any time taking over Megan's life--first, by giving herself a sexier makeover and then by seducing Megan's semi-boyfriend (Justin Carr). In time, Juliet's true colors begin to show when she starts acting rude and inconsiderate towards Megan's family and best friend (Hilary Bench).

Yet Megan has bigger problems to worry about, such as the recent unexplained accidents befalling her friends and family. Each one ultimately leads back to Megan, and Megan begins to fear she may be the next victim. If she is, what will happen to her soul if she dies while Juliet still inhabits her body? Will she return to life once Juliet leaves--or will she remain a ghost forever?

"The Accident" was the first book I ever read by Diane Hoh, sometime back in my middle school days. After re-reading it ten years later, I can see why I enjoyed it so much. There's plenty of otherworldly suspense in this book, plus it has a terrific ending. If you enjoy supernatural teen thrillers, then you'll probably enjoy "The Accident".

Summary: Can accidents happen by themselves
Review: Megan Logan was just sitting in her room when an image appeared in her mirror. At first it seemed unreal, but then everything fell into place. Megan made a new friend Juliet or maybe an enemy. Juliet was just a figment of Megan's imagination or so she thought, that is until she decided to agree to let Juliet into her world. Juliet asked Megan to trade places with Megan for just one week. Little did she know that, that was not all Juliet wanted.....

Summary: The Accident Review...
Review: The book for the quarter was "The Accident" by Diane Hoh. The book falls into the category of mystery fictional. Diane Hoh does a good job of planning out the plot and making it so interesting that even a person that doesn't like to read stays interested in the book. The thought of how Megan, the main character, actually trades places with a girl from her mirror that was a ghost. Megan, in the book, is described as an ordinary girl, who has a boyfriend and isn't really part of one specific crowd. Diane gets the reader thinking if there really could be a haunting ghost in every mirror that is just waiting to trade places with a person that is alive. If Megan was a real person then she would be very brave and courageous. The plot for the book was very interesting but at times Diane Hoh should have made the two Megans physically fight or confront each other a lot more. More should have been told about the Megan that was dead and wanting to trade places with the Megan that was alive. If a great mystery book is wanting to be read with a little bit of romance and of course fiction then this book is definately recommened. Thanks!

Summary: It was ok...
Review: The book wasn't as great as I expected it to be, I could read a chapter and not want to pick it up ever again, it was dull and boring, and I thought Diane Hoh could have put someone less obvious as the murderer the only time that got me interested was at the very ending. If you want a great mystery don't read this book save yourself some cash.

Summary: From Beneath The Water
Review: This book is a book filled with romance, terror, suspense, andprovides you with an adrenaline rush. Hoh proves that true love does not let obstacles stand in its path. Hoh keeps the suspense going by slipping in exciting tradgedies every once in a while. I liked this book because it was a super thriller. The book is about a girl who is contacted by a deceased girl who requests a deal with the girl. A deal that could change her life...eternally!

Summary: It is thrilling and exciting
Review: This book is about a girl named Megen. She is living in a peaceful neighborhood ,when suddenly a whispy, shadowy plume appears in Megan's mirror. They become friends and then the ghost asks a startling question. She asks Megan to trade places with her for a week. Megan must decide. My opinion on the book is that it is thrilling and exciting. I think this because Megan must decide on wether to stay where she is and not help the ghost or to trade places and be a ghost for a week.

Summary: Great book, if you liked to be freaked out
Review: This book really makes you think of the after life, where will you go if you dye and its not your itme? This book is all about a girl named megan who has someone talking ot her from her mirror, the thing talking from the mirror wants to trade places with megan, for just "a little while" all while megan thinks about this decision, horrible drawings are in her locker, and aweful things are happing to her best friends and family.
