Summary: disturbing horror
Review: By far, the most disturbing horror story that I've ever "started" to read. I started the book about 5 year's ago and was affected by it's graphic horror but was also so enthralled that I couldn't stop reading it. I asked my wife to dispose of it for me so I could sleep again and she did. I was in a used book store recently and the title sceamed at me from the shelf. I couldn't resist the urge to try it again and found the second half even more gruesome. Thank God for sleeping pills.

Summary: THE MOST HORRIFIC BOOK EVER WRITTEN!
Review: Every page of this book give such gruesome and graphic details of pure evil, that the images that are created in the mind have haunted me even now, 7 years after I read this book. I still see myself reading this book, my mouth hanging open and saying, "Oh My God!" over and over again. I have tried to find another book that holds my attention like this one did, but no book can compare to this one. It is so beyond anything imaginable, that I would just love to meet the author, bow to him and shake his hand. BRAVO!

Summary: Outstanding and gruesome.
Review: I absolutely love horror and read everything I can get my hands on in the genre. GREELY'S COVE stands out as one of the most gruesome and harrowing horror novels I've read. A young boy is miraculously "cured" of his autism by a strange psychiatrist in the small town of Greely's Cove. Things are not as they seem, however, and bizarre things begin to happen in the town. People vanish, the dead come back to visit the living, and something unbelievably grotesque and evil tries to break through from the Otherside with the help of an evil warlock. Gideon really pushes the envelope in this book. There are scenes that will have you gasping out loud while you read, they are so vile. If you have a strong stomach, love your horror bloody and gorey and creepy as hell, seek this book out. But don't say I didn't warn you!

Till now I've been looking for it to complete reading , which is not easy, since I returned to Poland . As I remember it - one of the best horror stories i had ever read. And believe me I've done a lot. No one is safe from the dark forces that have been set loose there.No one.

Review: John Gideon had taken the story telling attributes of Steven King, the mind numbing horror of Clive Barker and blended them together into something so gross, scary and shocking that you will not be able to put it down.

Review: Nicely realized and well set up. Villians dispensed with just a tad too easily. After all, the guy has been around 1,000 years. And yet, our intrepid band is able to do him in? But pacing was good, bad guy was original. Thought it might be too gruesome, but it wasn't really.

Review: Out west, in a quiet corner of Washington state lies Greely's Cove. On the surface it appears quiet and quaint. But underneath festers old secrets and wounds that even the town's population aren't aware of. Gideon weaves his tale with style and insight. Inspiring true feelings for his characters while plotting superbly. Expertly revealing each layer of his story like steps leading into madness. A plausible mix of ancient evil living in modern day suburbia. "Greely's Cove" deserves to be on every list of horror classics.
