Rating: Summary: Good Reading on a Stormy Night Review: Jo-Anne Christensen is a true story teller. While I did not find this book too awfully scary, I did catch myself looking over my shoulder a few times. Jo-Anne mixes just the right amount of history with the ghost story. She gives you a good background but doesn't bore you either. While most of the stories take place in Chigago, there are a few others to satisfy downstate readers as well. Jo-Anne covers famous Illinois ghost stories like Ressurection Mary and "Bloody Mary" Worth, but she also includes a lot of lesser known ledgends. This is a thick book that I found hard to put down. I would highly reccomend this book to anyone interested in Illinois ghost stories.
