Rating: Summary: Good series, but to short Review: I'm enjoying this new miniseries pretty much but am very dissappointed in a couple of areas. One is the books are ridiculously short, and the second is I'm very sick of waiting for them to come out once a month. These books can be read in about an hour and i hate waiting month to month. Although they are enjoyable to read
Rating: Summary: Boring and Disappointing Review: While it usually takes me an hour or so to read these mini-series books this one took me 4 days. Why? It was so boring I could not get interested in it. The books have become terrible and I no longer look forward to reading them. Where are the surprises? The shocking news? The ones where you can't go to bed until you finished it? Star has been out in my town for almost three weeks-and I haven't even thought about buying it. The old Andrews books would no sooner hit the stand that I was in line at the book store. I am so disappointed that someone could tarnish her name like this. She was a truly great writer, but now the books have gone to crap.
Rating: Summary: OK but I'm not a child Review: I have to say I agree with the one who said the books where more for young adults. I did however like the book and did read the second book in the series and will more than likely read them all. For the simple fact I want to know what happens to the girls. I also agree that the books should be longer and more V.C. Andrews style. The last series about the Orphans was closer than this. Not that close but closer. All in all I would still recommend it ... to a younger crowd.
Rating: Summary: what I feel about the new wildflowers series. Review: Compared to the rest of V.C. Andrews novels I thought that "Wildflowers" is a great series that I can't wait to get my hands on the next book that comes out. I just wish that they were longer so they would last for a couple of days instead of just a couple of hours. As for Misty I can relate to her since my parents are also divorced. But, I didn't have to go through all the pain that she has gone through and I'm glad for that.
Rating: Summary: it was okay, not the TRUE V.C. Andrews but okay... Review: I admit that i've only been reading V.C. Andrew's books for about a year and a half but i know her style. And this wasn't it. It was good i guess but the short story mini series like this one and the orphans just arn't as good as the family stories. they should stick with stories like the Logans and the Landreys...or even better, go back to what Mrs. Andrews herself used to do..."Flowers In The Attic" was great! So to sum it up...this series is okay but they deffinatly need to go back to long novels!!
Rating: Summary: The worst V.C. Andrews book I have ever read. Review: You can tell that this new series is not something that V.C.Andrews would have written. I have always enjoyed reading her books, but these short stories are the pits.I think they are being written for preteens. Are the owners looking for a younger generation to read their books. They have lost me as a reader.
Rating: Summary: Enough To Make You Misty Review: Misty is a young girl with divorced parents who send her to a psychiatrist for interactive therapy with three other girls. In this story of the Wildflowers, Misty tells her enthralling tale of growing up, love, sex, betrayal, and life of a divorced child. Misty's story hit close to home for me, and I enjoyed reading a book that made me feel as if I was the character. I couldn't put Misty down, and I can;t wait to read Star and the rest of the Wildflowers series. Overall, Misty is deserving of all my five stars, because it was great!!!
Rating: Summary: A terrific beginning, vivid and enticing! Review: This series is promising to be the best. I am hooked on the girls. They are not only interesting, they're intelligent. You don't feel the writer is talking down or exploiting. It's real!
Rating: Summary: We Miss Her,Have Only memories, need more time, more pages! Review: I didnt like the last one, or the series before that. I relize we all have to grow up someday. The young girls today im sure will pick the ones we grew up with.Remember that feeling we all got when we turned the first page? Nothing around us existed,we were part of the book.We couldnt wait to get to the end,but at the same time tried to make it last. Now before you have the time to get into her world, its over.Short series are okay for some writers, but V C Andrews? We all know that answer. Let us have the whole fantasy, not just a piece. We put her books on a pedastal, but it appears the ghostwriters prefere the ground.
Rating: Summary: NOT TERRIBLE, BUT NOT BY ANY MEANS VC ANDREWS STYLE Review: Okay, if I would have bought this book and it was written by another author, I wouldn't have been so disapointed. The book wasn't really that bad, it's just the fact that her books used to be so good and interesting. I still read her old books over and over again. But I don't want to read these new ones at all. But I will still buy them because of the name on the book. But the Ghostwriter is seriously damaging VC Andrew's name by putting out these second rate, little kid books. And a word of advice, make the next series of books about 300 pages longer.
