Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Better than some of her other books
Review: This is the first of a series of short stories about 4 girls coming together with the help of their therapist. In this first story, Misty sets the stage and introduces us to Dr. Marlowe, Star, Jade, and Cat whose stories we will hear later. Misty tells her story of how her parents divorce impacted her. Her parents' focus on themselves and on their hatred for each other drives Misty to the edge. Some of V.C. Andrews' stories grab my attention. Others do not. This is one that captured my attention with believable characters. I am really looking forward to the next one.

Summary: Didn't really hold my interest
Review: Although I enjoyed the series overall, I did not care for this book. The whole time I was reading it, I kept asking myself, "What is this girl complaining about? So her parents don't like each other. Get over it." In my opinion, Misty did not fit in with the other characters and appeared weak to me. It is obvious why this book was the first of the series. I do have to admit that I did like her humor though.

Summary: Much Better Than The Last Mini-series!
Review: Being a huge fan of V.C. Andrews made me realize that she is not alive to write this material, therefore it is not going to be the same format as her own. Misty was actually pretty good for a series book, although I did feel weird sitting in public reading it after I saw it was ranked for 10 yr-olds! I think I read Flowers in the Attic when I was 14. Quite a big difference in the text. I am anxious to start STAR.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Too short, but decidedly insiteful
Review: some of the things the the charecter of misty said in the story really made sense, & was stuff i could identify with, being a child of divorce. She calls herself an "orphan with parents" which comes very close to the truth. i liked the book, but as i said, it was to short. it wasn't styled very much like V.C. Andrews originals, which for one thing were series of novels, in stead of a mini-series of novellas with a longer conclusion. this series didn't have as much mystery, & lacked V.C. Andrews signature "flashback book" going back at least a generation to clear up any questions.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Enjoyable read for the beginning of a new series.
Review: An easy, interesting read

Summary: This book was really interesting.
Review: I thought this book was extremely captivating and i could notput it down once i started. V.C Andrews is probably my favoriteauthor because she can keep the reader interested in the book.Overall the book was great but there were some obscene parts and i think this book should be for teens and older although the reading level is for children.

Summary: I have my reasons why this is considered good
Review: "Misty" is a spellbinding book that held my attention until the very end. I liked the book. I said it was good because I come from a family of divorced parents who can't get along. This is not an original horror book. It's a new and refreshed start. It's got a different style. I haven't read the other Wildflower miniseries books yet. But I will. I review many V.C. Andrew books. Most of the novels were better. I think people didn't care for the new series because they were so used to the other novels. The is probably good for children, (I emphasize that word), who come from broken families and need something to relate to. I read a review and was very intrigued by it. A girl named Cortni. She is on the right track. Especially for a twelve year old. Read her review. Anyways, just because of what you have heard about this Wildflower miniseries shouldn't stop you from reading it. If you don't want to buy it, rent or borrow it. I suggest you read it. It may help you cope with some situation of your own. Now I sound like a therapist. Read it, just don't suspect it to be a horror book. Look at it in a different perspective. E-mail me if you want to know more details on what I think of V.C. Andrews books. To tell you the truth, these V.C. Andrews books have become "vapid."

Summary: It's not bad
Review: This book is not a horrible book to a child like myself,(which is something I don't like to recognize. But after reading this book I am not so afraid to admit to things). I am only twelve. This book is sort of intense. I still like the other novels better. I like to read adult books. The only reason I said it was okay was that I come from a "broken" family too. Some of these things are very much the same as what happens and has happened to me. They're close enough to where I can relate to. I like to look at books in an adult perspective though. These books are so short. I like books that capture your mind so that you can't put it down. I just recently became a V.C. Andrews fan. I can polish of these books is two hours flat. This book was so short could probably finish the series in two hours. As I said before, this book is okay. But compared to an ORIGINAL V.C. Andrews novel, this book is not one of my favorites.

Summary: Awful
Review: I am so disappointed with the latest VC Andrews 'Series.' It is so boring. I regretted that I bought the Orphans series, which now sits in a storage box, never to see the light of day again. I think that the Wildflowers series is slightly better than the Orphans series, in the fact that it is more readable. However, Misty was a shallow character with no depth. We don't know anything about her. She has a dysfunctional family and she has lost her virginity. Who really cares? It's so dull. Where are the old VC Andrews style books, the gothic style which hasn't been there for so long. I didn't buy Misty. I borrowed it from the library instead. DO THE SAME!!!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: This is NOT V.C. Andrews
Review: I have made a hobby of collecting and reading all the V.C. Andrews books. Now, I no longer want to buy them. This latest series, the Wildflowers, is complete drivel. The protagonists say things that children their age would never say... "My dad was a strapping man" Oh please! I do not identify with these characters, and I feel each book is just a pity party. I read V.C. Andrews' books because they are touching and make me feel good. I hear enough whining during the day. I want to read a book that makes me feel good. I am very dissapointed at this latest series.
