Summary: She's Done it again
Review: As always this book is wonderful as with all her books.

Summary: The best of the mini-novels--really!
Review: As an adult reader, I hadn't been impressed with some of the latest VC novels. Cat's story is reminiscent of the old VC books. Even though we suspected all along what's behind Cat's strange behavior, the suspense builds until the very end. I felt like the story was actually told by a tormented young girl with a distinct personality. The surprise at the end was nice, too...my only complaint is that it wasn't longer. I can't wait to see what "Into the Garden" brings!

Summary: Cat Comes out of Her Shell
Review: Cat did the right thing to lay all of her cards on the table with the girls and Dr. Marlowe. All things have to come out. It was awful of Geraldine to isolate Cat as well as abuse her physically and verbally. Cat deserves to have friends. What helps her is that she is willing to give people a chance. It was shocking that Howard assaults Cat after she trusts him.

Summary: Well, not great...
Review: Cat was the first okay book in the series, but maybe it's just because she is so pathetic. She was molested by the father that adopted her and her whole twisted past begins to unravel like a cheap sweater from K-Mart. Her mother is actually her sister, however, it's not because they are from Alabama. It's because their mother became pregnant with Cat after having an affair. The older sister adopted Cat to save the family from disgrace. The book is sad in a way the others aren't, but it's poorly written and the characterization wasn't very good.

Summary: BLAND, LIKE BROTH OR PUDDING
Review: I agree with the reviewer who said this book is like reading something because it is available on the check out line. This book was a tad better than most vintage Andrews/Ghostwritten stories. Cat was a sympathetic character who didn't have the requisite artistic talent and who didn't have a sibling with whom she had an incestuous relationship. (Her stepfather brought incest into this installment, folks). The one thing that bothered me was why on earth did Cat's natural mother give her to her stepdaughter to raise? The stepdaughter was a bitter, iodine like woman who treated Cat shabbily. The stepfather raped and terrorized the girl for years. The one breath of fresh air in this series is that Cat and her fellow "Wildflowers" (Jade, Misty and Star) meet at a psychiatrist's office where they heal and bloom. I'm not an avid Andrews/Ghostwriter's fan, but I will say that the "Wildflowers" series is the best of the bunch.

All V.C. Andrews books are a lot like broth or plain pudding. They're light and bland and will sustain the interest of the reader. They are not too different from inane sitcoms or a bowl of broth. These books are light and will help you pass the time. The best place for all V.C. Andrews books is in any waiting room. They're light, quick reads that will help you pass the time in the check out line or in a waiting room very quickly.

Summary: Not a book that Ms. Andrews would be proud of.
Review: I have read all of the V. C. Andrews books, and this series is, by far, the worst. The recent V.C. Andrews books continue to disappoint me. Where I once looked forward to the next book in one of her series, I now find myself merely drawn to them to prove that "this one will not be up to par" either! I'm surprised that the family would want to lend the name V.C. Andrews to these books. I'm sure Ms. Andrews would not be proud of any of them. As for the mini-series---get rid of them, and get back to the types of books that Ms. Andrews became noted for!

Summary: I Love This Book
Review: I like this book because Cat was so withdrawn you new that something good had to happen to her. When I read this book I read it in 5 hours. No matter what I did I couldn't put it down. The only reason that I didn't give this book a five was because I didn't like how she paused to make them have breaks and things, and I usally like longer books, but thats why everyone should read the last book to this series.I would reccomend this book to everyone!
