Summary: Ghosts was better
Review: Like Ghosts, this starts out okay, has some nice little chilling moments that'll have you wondering what-was-that-noise? in the middle of the night. But aslo like Ghosts, the ending is not very good. I think Hynd suffers from a problem that plagues a lot of writers: they don't know how to end their stories. BUT, I reapeat BUT, if you go into this as a mixture of fantasy and horror, it actually works on some level. It's has a fun pulse to it. No, it's not really horror, but i don't think it's all that bad either. My recomendation would be to read Ghosts first, it's much better and scarier. Then read this in the way you'd watch a comedy after watching a horror movie, a way to settle down.

Summary: Scary and spellbinding!!
Review: Noel Hynd combines family troubles with chilling ghost scenes in this novel. His characters pull you into their own lives, making you think and operate like them. The ending will shock you as much as if it were your own family ending up in terror and dispair. Great read, Noel!!

Summary: For A Good Fright
Review: Noel Hynd turns up the fright level to full throttle in this novel. It is written so well it is like you can touch, taste, and smell the surroundings in the book. This is a quick read and recommended for anyone who wants to be transported out of reality and plopped directly into the world of a classic ghost thriller.

Summary: A MIND-BENDING EXCursion into the supernatural.
Review: OK, I'm a bit picky when it comes to ghost stories, but this novel simply kept teasing me. After 150 pages and still no scares, I was frankly disappointed. This book was recommended to me and I don't think I would pass it along to anyone interested in a true ghost tale. Noel's writing is sophmoric and trite. It felt like I was reading Robin Cook ...aahhhhhh!!! This wasn't the WORST book I've read, but certainly did not live up to it's expectations.

Summary: good but predictable
Review: Rebecca Moore, housewife, mother of two, is the victim of an attempted murder, her new house by the cemetary is haunted and then her kids disappear without a trace. Detective Ed Van Allen suspects that there is more to this case than meets the eye, and he is correct.

The story explores themes of past lives and ghostly hauntings in an interesting and lively style. Unfortunately, the ending was fairly well telegraphed to this fan of the X-Files. The detective character was well done, even though he is just a supporting character he made the book much more interesting.

Summary: Don't read this when you're alone and it's storming out!
Review: This book made my spine tingle. This was so real, I was afraid to turn the page when Rebecca opened the door to the turret room. Being a huge fan of suspense, this one is the topper. The scariest part - could this really happen??

Summary: A MIND-BENDING EXCursion into the supernatural.
Review: This is an atmospheric and sweetly scary tale, the type one thinks about more and more after finishing. I loved GHOSTS by Noel Hynd. This one is almost as good, which means very good indeed!
