Summary: It was a intense horror!
Review: My name is Lisa and I'm 17. I have read alot of R.L. Stine's books and this one was above all the most creative one. It has a surprise ending which will shock you. But I still think Halley should of been the one to get the knife!

Summary: ONCE YOU START READING IT,YOU WILL NEVER PUT IT DOWN
Review: R.L Stine is one of the greatest writters during our time.He relates to great books as he writes them.He is one of the greatest authors that never gives an answer to a mystery until the end of the book.I mean,I started ,and I realy wanted to know who was doing all the killing.I don't want to tell you who because that will take part of the joy from the book.So you should buy it.I give you every reason too.

Summary: "Trick or treat . . . the trick is not to die . . . ."
Review: Seventeen-year-old Brenda Morgan hates her cousin, Halley Benson, because she's a manipulative boyfriend-stealer. So, out of spite, Brenda and her two friends (Traci Warner and Dina Smithers) work Halley into their writing assignment for class, using her as the murder victim. At first, it was a joke to knockoff Halley, but as "Halloween Night" progresses and Halley pushes all of Brenda's buttons, Brenda decides to make the story real by killing her cousin during her Halloween costume party (which, by the way, doesn't even commence until the final 20 pages). Meanwhile, Brenda starts receiving threatening messages, but who are they from? And what exactly is in store for her on Halloween night?

I had considered giving this book a "3" because it was short (185 pages), but the ending was just abysmal, not to mention the rest of the book, which was slow and pointless. As usual, Stine relies too heavily on teen angst and a bunch of cliched gimmicks he uses so often they've become predictable (cliffhangers at the end of every chapter, invariable methods of attack and response, and "unlikely" suspects--who are really quite obvious if you're familiar with Stine's writing). Unless you're a Stine fan, I'd skip this [bad], overly dramatic attempt at teen horror. But if you did like it, then you might like the sequel as well.

Summary: Halloween Night - suspense from beginning to end
Review: The book is about a girl called Brenda and her cousin Halley who has come to live with her. Brenda hates her cousin because she steals her boyfriend, and everyone else's boyfriend as well! Brenda and her friends decide to plan the perfect murder at the next Halloween party where they can avoid detection by changing costumes. But with everyone wearing a disguise, it becomes possible for a third character to be introduced, Dina, who wants to kill Brenda. There is a stabbing, and lots of blood, but to find out whether anyone dies, and who, you will have to read the book yourself.

The book is very enjoyable because of the way the author describes the characters and the way he leaves the reader in suspense at the end of each chapter, making you want to read the next one to find out what is going to happen, with the result that you never want to put the book down until you have finished it.

Summary: Keeps you guessing....
Review: This book keeps you guessing. You could never tell who was doing what. They try to give you an idea of who's behind it all, but ending will really suprise you. It wasn't who you thouught would have been doing all those horrible things This wasn't one of R.L. Stine's BEST books, but all the same, it was very good!

Review: This book was very good. At the beginning it was not scary but towards the end things started changing. It's about a girl named Brenda whose cousin, Halley moves to her house for awhile. That's when the bad things begin. Halley starts talking to Brenda's boyfriend and Brenda doesn't like it. Then Brenda and her friends plan a surprise for Halley. Murder!

Summary: A Chilling Tale of Scares and Boos! that Frightens Too!
Review: This is the best book that I think Stine has written so far. It is intriguing and interesting as well as suspenseful and chilling! It comes complete with those famouse Stine-twists wherever you read. It involves Brenda, her two best friends, Tracey and her other friend , and Halley, who is Brenda's much hated cousin. The reason that she is so hated is because she stole Tracey and Brenda's boyfriends. As Tracey and Brenda "plan" to "murder" Halley, their other best friend takes it as offense since her parents just got divorced just as Halley's did. At Brenda's big Halloween bash, things take a frightening turn. Read this book to find out the rest!
