Review: This is the best best books I have read this year. I'm not the reading type either! And yet it took me only two weeks to read the trilogy! This book starts it all off. This set is a great mixture of mystery, love, and adventure! Read them all. I definatly recomend this book to every teen.

Review: Whatever you do, don't buy it used from abebooks(1 star), because I got the whole trilogy directly from their online store and it arrived almost six months late and in a terrible condition.

Review: Your best friend is dead, lying in a puddle of blood, with a gun in her hand pointed in her mouth. Right away most people speculated that she killed herself, but maybe somehow, someone else killed her? I found reading about how these characters dealt with this situation in the book Final Friends; Book 1: The Party by Christopher Pike was very interesting and suspenseful. The only thing that I didn't find interesting was the cover of the book, but you can't always judge a book by it's cover. The book cover definitely did not entice me to read the book. The cover looks like something from many years ago and looks boring. The people in the picture look like they are back in the 70's with some of the clothes they are wearing. The part that did catch my eye on the cover though was really small and said; "It was their last year of school... Maybe the last year of their lives." This caught my eye because this is my last year of school too, but I'm pretty sure not my last year of my life. I thought I'd relate to the book well since the characters are in the same grade as I. I was right, I did relate to the characters very well like Jessica Hart, who is a really nice friend, but she's into the popularity trip. Polly and Alice, who are sisters, have no parents and both like/liked the same weird guy. Sarah, who's somehow elected as president and also likes Russ a track member. Some of the other characters portrayed are smart, athletic, and way more into being popular than Jessica. These are the usual kind of people found in any high school. The summary on the back of the book also made me choose to read this book. The summary was very interesting and attention getting because what the author said related somewhat to my life. Choosing a character in this book is pretty hard because I wouldn't want to go through the tragedy most of the characters did. Otherwise, I would want to be like Jessica Hart. I know I said before she is mostly into being the popular one, but I think deep down inside she's a really nice person. Especially how she helped out Alice when her sister was in the hospital and her parents were dead. Or how she became friends with Maria, who's from El Salvador, and helped her out on her date with Nick. Being a nice person is something I really like about people and how I want to be known as. The only characteristic I don't really like about her right now is how she plays Mike, the brilliant but shy guy. She and he would make a great couple, instead of she and Bill Skater, the handsome quarterback. She leads Mike on then dumps him whenever she feels she has a chance with Bill. This is so selfish of her, but I think by the end of the 3rd final friends they'll be together. Overall, I enjoyed every word of this book. I connected to this book very well besides enjoying the part where someone died at the party. Well, I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about high school life with a bit of suspense and thriller. Another great aspect about this book is the author wrote series, so the story doesn't just end leaving everyone wondering what happens next. I'm part way through the second book, and I'm enjoying the story as much as the first one.
