Rating: Summary: A well done horror thriller. Review: This book was my first Richard Laymon book so it will always be special for me. Laymon creates sick and twisted characters you want to kill side by side with loveable cool characters you want to hug and kiss. The thriller builds up to a page turning climax in the last 100 pages. Some great plot twists makes this book into being even nicer. If you never read a Laymon try this one first. If you DID read a Laymon and liked his style, YOU MUST GET THIS ONE!
Rating: Summary: Sick horror Review: This is my second Laymon book and i loved it.The first one was The Cellar. What i think Funland is better then The Cellar. i cant find laymon's book easily but i am happy to see these books on the net. we have just flesh the cellar and funland. perhaps i should search more.anyway laymon is really great in this book and jeremy was a exciting character. I HAve a doubt about gloria's end? but i am trying to solve it. anyway , thanks for this book. because it is like a puzzle, and mr.laymon provokes us to think.

Rating: Summary: this book rocks Review: This is the 1st book i read twice...... which was like 10 months afta i had read it originally. Even though I only read it(a second time) cos' I had nothing better to do...(couldn't move much cos I stacked it pretty bad off my Skateboard)but man it was just as good this time....I couldn't remember everything that happened which was good. But remember ppl Laymon is KING and king is LAYM
Rating: Summary: a book you have to read Review: this is the second book i have read of Laymon,s and the characters are just excellent, the way they are described and used in the story. with so much gory action going on and it all leading to on twist after another, i reckon laymon really put his heart and mind to this well created book. definitely a hit.

Rating: Summary: Reading Laymon is like eating "Ruffles"... Review: you can't put them down. "Funland" is one of the best of Laymon's books (and he has many GREAT books). Get the UK version if at all possible because it has 500 pages, not the 390+ that other versions have. You don't want to miss any of the action in this novel. The sleepy tourist trap of a town called Boleta Bay will never be the same when some of the local kids declare "war" on the indigents and derelicts (called "trolls") that are terrorizing the citizens and visitors to the town. Laymon's characterization is terrific and you find yourself with mixed emotions about the leading characters. Many twists and turns are part of a fairly diverse plot that rockets to a roller-coaster of an ending. You'll find yourself wishing that there were 500 more pages of this book when you finish! This book is not for the fate of heart or those that are offended by the gore and violence that are a staple of Laymon's writing. But, on the other hand, if you like great storytelling with great characters, by all means pick this book (or any of Laymon's work) and settle in for a long night.
