Review: ....this book was not interesting, even slightly. this horrible plot of a book focuses on a 12 year old girl named selena, who has to visit her cousin, jada for a month.the last time she had seen jada, she was six. she tries to convince herself that jada and her were little last time and maybe she has changed.but when she arrives, selena finds her cousin hasn't changed a bit.she embarrasses selena so bad. soon, jada begins to sneak out of the house at night.selena suspects something and finally decides to follow her.selena discovers that there is a secret room.one day while jada is gone selena sneaks into the room and finds a mask and cape.then,selena calls her mom's job, but no one knows her mom. selena soon discovers that it is said in the book of fates that selena becomes a powerful superhero called shadow girl and that her cousin is her enemy, the red raven.she has always wanted to be shadow girl, and has always hated selena for that reason.it is also written in the book of fates that she will kill jada.but selena does not want to be shadow girl... go ahead and read it if you want,but don't say i didn't warn you!...

Review: I BARELY made it through this book without sleeping.....IT was very tiring, and not in one bit scary. It was actually pretty STUPID. I don't think R.L. Stine put any thought process while writing this one.........I recommend this book for people who want to get bored out of their mind. For a summary, read the book description.

Review: The cover looks really cool. And that's the best part. It was frustrating. I was expecting a lot more; it was a good idea. But it turned out terribly. And the ending was ridiculous. They never even explained what powers Shadow Girl had. I don't recommend this one.

Review: This is by far the worst book in the series. No plot, no good descriptions and not one chill or scare in the whole book.I expect better of R. L. Stine in the next book of the series Camp Nowhere.

Review: Twelve-year-old Selena hates her cousin Jada, even though the girls only met once, when they were both twelve. When her widowed mother announces that she is sending to Selena to spend a month with Jada and her parents, she is angry and hurt. Selena's friends try to tell her that six years changes a person - but she arrives to find Jada as mean as ever. Jada does everything she can to make Selena miserable. But when Selena finds out the real reason for her cousin's cruelty, all she wants to do is run and hide. Jada is toughening Selena up for her destiny as "Shadow Girl," a superhero. Selena doesn't want to be a hero, though - just a normal person. But can she escape fate? This was a disappointing book from the Nightmare Room series. The story just wasn't very interesting. If you're a fan of the series, you still may want to read the book - but I wouldn't reccomend it to someone starting out on the books in this series.
