Summary: Anthony's most Erotic book! Good reading with the wife!
Review: A different approach by Anthony. Not the normal Wiz-Bang of his other novels. Erotic, and appealing.

Summary: Oh, Please!
Review: A long-time horror fan, I had never read any of Mr. Anthony's books when I bought Firefly shortly after its original release. The concept is original and has real promise, but amateurish writing undermined almost everything the author attempted to accomplish. Offended by the sexual content? Not in the least. Offended by the apparent lack of care and attention in writing and editing? Absolutely. I even now recall this book as one of the worst reads I've ever experienced.

Summary: Superb Writing! One of Anthony's best works!
Review: A lot of people seem to take offense to this book, but what they fail to realize is that it shows truth in it's sexual content. It's not pretty (the truth never is) but Anthony did a great job of illustrating it. I read this entire book in a few hours. I couldn't put it down! A must-read!

Summary: WOW
Review: A really great read....suspensful yet satisfying. It was a provacative and heart racing story. It had laughs, tears and a few parts where i was egear to find a girlfriend. it is really descriptive.

Summary: Somebody definitely should confer with Freud
Review: Admittedly, Piers Anthony was one of my favorite authors until sometime in high school when I realized that he's just another dirty old man. Every book he's ever written has had some form of elicit sex or sex at the very least, and if it isn't elicit then it's presented as a purely animalistic function. This book is no different. In this book the widow gets to cure the impotent caretaker. And naturally the predator draws in his prey by, you guessed it, pheremones, and apparently if you get too close you can't stop orgasming (is that a real word?) Can you get any more adolescent? This guy is in his fifties or sixties and still enjoys writing about young girls and their menstrual cycles.

But I digress. If you're looking for something completely unrealistic and sexy, go ahead and grab this book and a moist towel and enjoy yourself.

Summary: A much needed break from Anthony's mildless fantasy!
Review: Although I have and will always love the Xanth series, as I have grown older I have recognized it for what it really is: a fantasy series written for the young adult reader. Yes, his tongue and cheek humor may be lost on this ideal reader, but come on, the "adult conspiracy" for god's sake! And as I progressed past the young adult reader stage, I would probably have stuck Anthony on the back burner for good if it weren't for Firefly.

Not only is Firefly adult in terms of its sexual content (which it most certainly is) it is also VERY intelligently written! Anthony is exploring a world where evolution may have finally cooked up a predator to feed upon humans! This predator is a amoba-like organism that has recently realized that it can walk on land as well as swim in the sea, and it hunts by pheromones! What better way is there to lure humans into a man-eating trap than through sex???? Anothony has proved that, once again, he is a genius at storetelling.

Do not read this if you are weak at heart and turned off by topics such as rape, child abuse and spousal abuse; Anthony explores them all in detail. By the end of the book, you may find yourself thinking that mankind may just be bad enought to deserve to be eating by the monster that Piers Anthony has created!

Summary: Scares you in ways you never imagined!
Review: As for vulgarity and explicit descriptive scenes, this book is not lacking, but I feel this was necessary to convey the fright intended by this book, which I must say, made me go to sleep with my head under the covers for a week. If you are not easily offended and are able to capture the true meening out of obscurity, you will love this book, I did.

Summary: Anne Rice would be proud of this...
Review: because she could have written it. This is one of the most erotic horror thrillers ever written and Anthony deserves a pat on the back. It is also one of those few novels that readers don't forget about because it works on the erotic parts of the brain.

The only reason this novel is getting some bad reviews is because some people don't want others reading it. Why? Because it's about a monster that eats it's victim alive after it immobolizes them with it's pheromones. The pheromones immobolize the victim by making them utra-horny, so while the victims are having extra powerful orgasms they are being eaten alive.

While not all that scary, it is horrific and is a fascinating read and a totally original one. Don't listen to the reviews. This book is definitely for the 18 and over crowd and should be read by adults. It's not easily forgotten. I read it 3 years ago and it still left enough of an impression to make me want to write this review.

Anthony is great a writing horror. He is original and nothing about this novel is mundane.

Summary: I little dirty book
Review: Comared to Anthony's other writings (such as Pornucopia), this is a mild novel. It is a collection of errotic stories losely pulled onto a sceleton of a horror novel (that isn't as scary as it is dirty).
