Summary: Something to say
Review: I bought this book because it was on sale and the cover looked good,. The book was pretty good but i finished it in like a couple of hours.I used to read alot of VC Andrews books, mainly the old ones like Heaven and Flowers in the Attic series All of her books are about a ballerina or rich parents., or a weird stepmom or grandmother..That one Demtri kid was a perv though. Janet didnt talk much in the book, too.I felt really sorry for her when she had her period on the day of her audition. I hope the second book Crystal is as good as this one or better!

Summary: What a Excellent Book!
Review: I read this book not knowing how good it would be. I don't really read V.c Andrews, but when I read this I thought it was truly amazing! I've been taking ballet lessons for a long time now and I'm 17 and I could totally relate with Janet. I was fustrated with Celine and I felt really sorry for her husband. This was a moving and touching book. I have also read Crystal and it was equally as good and I can't wait to read the final three books!!!

Summary: Fly Away With The Orphans!
Review: In just one day I finished the first 3 books of the Orphans series. Out of those 3 I liked "Butterfly" the most because the character touched my heart more than the other 2, probably because Janet is more vulnerable and fragile, and that just makes me want to protect her. She tries so hard to please her new mother, yet no one sees her efforts, whereas Crystal and Brooke already have their hearts set on their own goals rather than following their foster mothers' dreams. There was only 2 faults I found with this series. First of all, each book was not long enough, in my opinion. Each took only about 2 hours to finish, and it left me wanting more and more. Secondly, I wish the author would've put a little more variety into the girls' situations. As many readers have commented, Butterfly and Brooke seem quite similar, and now they're expecting the same with Crystal and Raven. There are times when I wish the (foster) father would be the one who has the "proble! ms," be the mean one, instead of it always being the mother. Regardless of all that, I certainly look forward to "Runaways," to see what happens to the 4 characters when they come together.

Summary: Butterfly: Falling From the Sky
Review: Okay, this book, is poorly written, clichéd, and all of the plot twists can be seen from miles. So, why did I buy the book that contains all four of the Orphans' Stories? Because even though they aren't very good, there are scenes that are decent enough to be read once in awhile.

Janet "Butterfly" Taylor, an orphan, is a adopted by Celine and Sanford Delorice. Celine wants Butterfly to be a dancer, just like she was, before the car accident that crippled her. However, Janet is not her, and the results of trying to force the eager to please girl into the Pointe shoes, are disastrous.

Summary: Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover
Review: This book has a very pretty cover but very little substance. The characters are all stereotypes, or perhaps the nicest way to describe them is as vehicles for the plot. Only the plot is no better, so what are we left with. I'm sick of characters named Sanford. There was a Sanford in Twilight's Child, Christie's adoptive father, and the fact that Sanford Delores has no more personality than such an insignificant character as Sanford Compton says a lot. Celine is your typical shallow mother, in a wheelchair (in every series there seems to be a character in a wheelchair). Dmitri is simply a rip off of Julian from the Dollanganger series, without the psychological trauma to explain his perversion. Madame whats-her-name is a rip off of Madame Zolta and Madame Marisha (Dollanganger series as well). There is really no need to read this. I haven't read Runaways yet, but I can't imagine you would understand it any less if you didn't read this little snippet on Janet's life first.
