Summary: Mythological thriller
Review: I especially like this book because it does a unique thing...it brings mythology into the modern world and I am a student of mythology. The ending was a surprise for me even though I should have picked up some of the hints. I enjoy being surprised. I read Curse, too and recommend this author to readers who want some depth to their thrillers.

Summary: A book you'll want to forget...
Review: I found the book's premise (and introductory chapters) to be somewhat intriguing. However, the plot became more implausible with each chapter until it lost its integrity altogether. What could have been an interesting novel turned out to be a far-fetched tale that left me shaking my head in confusion and disappointment.

Summary: better forget this
Review: i never read through this, but i still feel competent to review this, and i'll tell you why. a man suddenly forgets his whole life. stuff begins to come back to him. the writing style isn't that bad. but...it's too slow and in an annoying way. the wife just continues to tell him details for over at least 100 pages. no you don't like that. your family died in a car accident. neiderman, you could just write "she told him about his life, but the details remained unfamiliar to him". no. the author has to go on and on about this. every little detail. in addition, the family moves. and now the man has to learn about this new place. so AN goes on and on about that. new persons, about the community, etc. i'm giving it a 1 because any writer should really be able to avoid going on and on about every petty detail.

Summary: page turner
Review: I picked this up because I thought the cover was interesting and read the first few pages. I almost read the whole book in the store. It never stopped and kept my interest up until the surprise ending that left me thinking, and I don't mind saying, looking behind my back.

Summary: More Than Just Forgetting Where Your Car Keys Are...
Review: In search of the occasional light read, I picked up Neiderman's Amnesia not long ago. I have to say that it was a far better reading experience than Neiderman's Neighborhood Watch. The premise - commuter Aaron Clifford `wakes' in Grand Central Station with no clue who he is, where he's headed and why he's there - is simple but manages to play on irrational fears we all harbor. While Mr. Clifford does eventually make it home and adjusts to his `new' wife, home, daughter and job, he senses that something just isn't right. While he feels guilty for questioning it, there's something too perfect about his marriage, his daughter, the town of Driftwood and the people who populate it.

Amnesia is a satisfying, quick read. It's pure, fun entertainment, Check it out.

Summary: Amnesia, perfect, Mr Neiderman has forgotten the ending.
Review: Mr. Neiderman keeps the interest of the reader throughout the novel, with clues and innuendos, only to discourage the reader with useless information that didn't lead to a conceivable conclusion. What a disappointment.

Summary: Hooked and delighted
Review: The beginning of this novel hooked me. I kept guessing and being wrong and then when I reached the end, I was delighted at the way the author continued the story into the future. It gave me a delicious sort of creepy feeling hard to describe. Not only was the story great, but it was vividly done. It would make a great movie.
