Review: This was a very suspensful book. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Frank Peretti is a very talented author, but there were some things in the book that he probably shouldn't have had in there, considering the fact that this is a christian book. Overall it was a very good book, and I have and would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: A potentially good story that is poorly written.
Review: This tale of good versus evil cloaked in the guise of a mysterious evil hidden deep in the secrets of an old mining town reads like a Hardy boys/Nancy Drew book. While the basis for the story is good and the story line fairly well developed, the simplistic conventions of writing, weak dialogue and sketchily drawn characters do little to entice the reader's inner eye. This would be a good read for a high school class in that the dissection of blatant symbolism, simple characters and story development would all be easily used to teach the basics of novel writing.

Review: This book, has deep symbolic values, and is certainly a good read. This was the first book I have read by Mr. Peretti, and I was not dissapointed, and will endevour to read as many of his other books as I can. I particularly like his characters used, and the atmosphere of suspence he created. I can heartily reccommend this book to all.

Review: This book is really cool. It talks about a strange town in wich everyone is suspicous of outsiders and fear a cruel and proud Harold Bly. The main character,Steve, drives from Colorado to claim his dead brother's body and find the reason behind his mysterious death...

Review: Frank Peretti brings all the spiritual aspects to life. He gives all things unseen and unheard a tangible, physical presence. My mind was opened up and I was able to read between the lines. I have gained alot of insight and have had very lively discussions with others. Not only does Mr. Peretti give you thought provoking ideals and concepts, but he gives you so much action, adventure and pure, raw emotions.
