Summary: Great characterization, if obviously a bridge book.
Review: Well, I really enjoyed this book. The characterizations are dead on, and as far as I'm concerned, this book could easily be squeezed in there after Angels' gotten back to normal and the Willow/Xander cheating thing was resolved, probably right before Giles gets fired. 'Course, there are many more familiar with the episodes than me, so it may not work out that way. I figure they just didn't mention Faith; God knows there are plenty of episodes this season which didn't include her, except in passing. I thought some of the "emotional" scenes were written, well, a bit too oversimplistically, but if this is suposed to be a bridge between the adult and young adult novels, that makes a certain amount of sense. I'm behind in my Buffy reading, and so can't wait to see how the adult Buffy books go. Overall, as I said, this book fulfilled my expectations and then some. It certainly was better than "Night of the Living Rerun," and I agree that nobody has quite the handle on the characters (other than the show's writers, obviously) that Golden and Holder have.

Summary: mixed thoughts
Review: When I first bought this book I was happy cauze it had got me back into buffy again, but I seemed to feel not to impressed by it as it try's to be clever by relating ever little thing that has happened in the tv series which gives it a less realistic throw than the tv series, but it is memorable and although the ending may be a little long it's worth it at the end of the day, so if you don't like reading but like buffy then read this book!

Summary: Very good for Young Adult fiction
Review: When I got this book, I thought "Boy, these 'Young Adult' books are getting thicker and thicker. Based on the size and content of this book, I thought that maybe they should have classified it as 'Adult Fiction.' Consequently, it came as no surprise when I saw that co-author Christopher Golden deemed this book as "the 'bridge' between young adult and adult Buffy books." The story of "Blooded" is very creative and ambitious with enough facets to please almost any "Buffy" fan. However, I did still seem to get a little bored in spots and at times it did still seem a bit "Young Adultish." As far as "Young Adult" books are concerned, "Blooded" was pretty good though.
