Rating: Summary: Awkward and bumpy. Too long. Review: So far, this is the thickest one of the whole "Buffy" series. I felt that it was too strange and the viewpoint of the being taking over Willow is wrong. It seems like much of it was written just to fill in gaps and empty spaces. I have always liked to identify with the characters of the books I read, but in this one, the connection was all gone. I had no idea of what Buffy or anyone else was feeling. All I had to rely on was the show's ongoing feeling. Willow is the main focus in here, and I think that is too much. Willow is the meek one, not the brave one, even when under the influence of a demon. Xander's usual wisecracking humor was gone. Cordelia's snaps and disses were weak and Oz, although very caring, did not seem to show any of his personality that we see in the show. There, all it takes to describe him is "He's Oz.". In this book, we drag on for pages explaining the relationship between Buffy and her friends, and the boring Giles. We get that he's British, okay? Next.
Rating: Summary: Finally! Review: Something to take the awful taste of "Night of the Living Rerun" out of my mouth! "Blooded" was wonderful! I read it on the train on a trip and just laughed til I cried. I let a friend of mine read it and even though he does not watch Buffy as avidly as the rest of us, even he was getting into the book. This one is wonderful and lots of fun. Obviously there was lots of research done and characterization and, (this is the best part!)it's obvious that THESE authors do actually watch the show, know the characters and have a clue! Thanks a whole bunch of garlic!! :)
Rating: Summary: It was a great book but far too much kissage with Angel/Buff Review: The book had an intresting plot and it used the charachters to their greatest potential.Willow was the best choice for the villan because she feels so helpless. This book was defintly a work of fiction not what is going to happen because Angel in the season finale was sent to hell.As far as the whole Angel and Buffy thing went there was far too much making out.Although his little speech was nice and a break from the usual passion.Xander and Cordelia was understandable because that's what there relationship is based on.Cordelia in the last season has become less snotty and they made her out as the queen snob but she's not really like that anymore. The book overall got a well earned 4 stars.
Rating: Summary: Avoid this book Review: The other Buffy books are pretty good, but this one is just laughable. The book is full of the worst aspects fo fanfic writing: constant references to every episode of Buffy, "did you know" statements, and so on. Angel is just pathetic in this book. All this plus the fact that this book could never actually take place in any season. It's probably better that way too.
Rating: Summary: this book was great! it's a real must for buffy fans! Review: the prolouge of this book was a tad confusing but was great. It had the romance of buffy and angel, the comedy of xander and willow, and was full of action and exitment.
Rating: Summary: Better than any of the shows. (I've seen them all) Review: The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it switches from one thing to another right in the middle of exciting parts. One second you're in Sunnydale and someones being killed, the next you're in China. Then you're back in Sunnydale, then you're in Japan. That's as bad as commercials. Besides that it is really good. (VERY BLOODY kinda sad)
Rating: Summary: Myth-cum-Vampyr! Review: This book is real cool! The style of writing is good too!A must read if you're a Buffy fan.
Rating: Summary: colest book I've read in a long time!!!!!! Review: This book keeps your hearts pounding and your eyes glued on the page. It put one of its very beloved charaters in great danger but it makes for an exciting book if your reading this I'm going to have to ask Why? you should be out reading 'Blooded'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: One of the best Buffy books Review: This book really interested me. I collect all the books, and this was one of the best. If you watch the show this book will really get your imagination going. I could see the actors that play the characters doing all the stuff in the book. It showed a different side of Willow and Xander than we see on the show. If they ever wanted to make an episode out of this it would ROCK!!!
Rating: Summary: A great book for a Buffy fanatic who loves details! Review: This book was awesome! TheWillow/ Xander/ Buffy triangle was great, and it showed a new side of Willow.
