Summary: Best Novel I've Read This Year!!!
Review: As an avid fan of the LAWSON VAMPIRE SERIES I was anxiously awaiting for this newest novel. I have to say I was not dissapointed!
In THE DESTRUCTOR Jon F. Merz continues the adventures of the vampire Fixer Lawson. As the villian Jon has created Shiva, part vampire/part lycanthrope and all evil.

The plot is this, Shiva is planning to kill the head of the vampire council, Belarus. Lawson has to stop her with the help of another Fixer, Jarvis.

Jon creates great characters and brings them to life. He adds a nice touch of humour as well as enough plot twists to keep you guessing 'till the very end. This is a great book by a great author and I can't wait for next installment THE SYNDICATE!

Summary: First John Merz book
Review: Even though this is the latest book in the Lawson Vampire series, I enjoyed it tremendously (first one I have read by Jon Merz). As an avid reader who always enjoys a good book, I wasn't dissapointed by this one. I like the realism of the vampires but did think that a little supernatural aspect would of been interesting.

Never the less, I enjoyed the book - characters and story. I will definitely catch up on the books I missed!

Summary: it was ok
Review: i bought invoker and destructor together and their ok, kind of a cross between mickey spillane and buffy. the vampire council gets interesting as the series moves along but nothing new is really said here just some guy fighting vampires. the vampires are "real" not undead, but that's been done too, so there weren't any surprieses. the chick is a vampire and a werewolf, whatever. destructor was a lot like anita blake and invoker was like blade, which is why i gave it 3 out of 5. not too original.

Summary: This book Rocks!
Review: I loved this book. So far, I have read all the Lawson novels and enjoyed them all. My favorite was The Invoker. The Destructor is great as well if you like a book with cool characters and a few interesting plot twists. This book is a "must have" for any horror reader!

Summary: You're getting better and better, Jon!
Review: Merz' third Lawson vampire novel is the best one yet! Hope he keeps writing these stories for the next 20 years!

Summary: Absolutely Awesome!
Review: Okay, let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of Merz's work. I started with The Fixer and then got The invoker when that came out last year. I managed to have a relative send me a copy of The Destructor overseas where I've been serving for the better part of a long time. That far from home, it sure helps to have a great series of books to escape into. And merz delivers once again. Lawson just keeps getting better, the action is great + the overall quality of these books gets better every time. I have reread these books a lot and they are really really cool. I'm not going to go into all the details of the book because other fans have already done that. But if you want a really kick butt series of novels you have gotta pick these things up. Merz is already a star in my book and having slogged through ALOT of action books, that's not an easy thing to accomplish. Great job Jon!

Summary: We are ready for more Lawson books!
Review: The Destructor is the third of Jon F. Merz's Lawson Vampire series. On the cover of the book we read: "Sometimes the female of the species is the deadliest". That certainly is true as we meet Shiva who is half vamp and half werewolf and, oh by the way, a deadly assassin! Shiva understands Lawson though; in Chapter 26 she tells him that he is honorable. "There's something about you, you know that? There's this sense of danger mixed with goodness that you exude like an aura". I think that's a very good, apt description of Lawson, and just one of the reasons why I like Lawson so much. Shiva is supposed to be after Belarus, the head of the Council, but there are numerous surprising twists and turns in the plot. You won't be disappointed!

Summary: A New Light On Vamps
Review: This book was AWESOME! I'm not one for the Vampire world, but this book shed vampires in a new light. The vampires in this book were not burned in the sunlight. They were very much human, had feelings and emotions- very true to life.
This story was very action packed with a slight detective feel to it.
I loved this book and can't wait to read more of Merz's stories.
Great work!

Summary: great book
Review: This was a great one. I cannot wait until the next book in October.

The characters in the book get better as the series continues. I hope that there is further involvement between Lawson and Talya. Shiva was a good addition to the story. It was interesting on her multiple personality ( do not want to give it away). Wirek is always good for a laugh.
