Rating: Summary: What I've noticed... Review: Hmmm...is it just me or are people reviewing these new books less than the older ones? I wonder why? Could it be that less people are buying her books now that they are beginning to suck? That has to be it. This book did stink. I didn't like it at all. Too boring and bland. In grocery stores, you know that you have Charmin toilet paper and then there's generic toilet paper (which is cheaper). You have the big, wonderful brand names (FITA and Heaven) and then there's this cheaper, not so great generic stuff (The Hudson series and the Shooting Stars). That's what I think. Not as good. These are cheap carbon copies of the better books. Kind of like K-mart clothes compared to Kohl's. K-mart is the cheaper stuff, while Kohl's is better quality. Catch my meaning? I didn't like this book at all, though. The Runaways and the books prior to that were by far better. Ever since the Wildflowers, I was turned off. Did you know that Keebler soda crackers taste better than Saltines?
Rating: Summary: Almost interesting...almost... Review: How very convenient that Rose should have some hidden, secret *rich* relative. What is it with the ghost writers borrowing from V.C.'s *excellent* stories and trying to pass them off? They could have tried a LITTLE harder than that when Rose's aunt sought "revenge" on Rose's mother. I think they reached a little too far when it came to her anti-social brother. They tried too hard, it seemed. This book was okay, but I'm almost sorry I paid for it instead of going to the library.
Rating: Summary: The best book since V.C. Andrews died Review: I haven't liked any of her books since she died but so far the shooting stars series is the best ,keep up the good work! Rose"s free spirited father dies .Her mother and her moves in with her dads illigitamate son (who is disabled)and aunt. The aunt buys the mom anything she wants ,but what happens next I can't spoil it for you. I have read every V.C. Andrews book ever printed and this is one of the best except for the first three books she wrote. Had a great time reading this. Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Rose Review: Lovely, talented, and innocent, Rose was loved and cherished by her father. His death, whether it was an accident or suicide, left behind secrets that have been hidden all their lives. Soon the doors to his many secrets opened and changed Roses "normal" teenage life in Lewisville, Georgia. It leads her and her mother into a fantasy life that wasn't as good as it seemed. Roses mother gets caught up in this luxury life that wasn't true and caused her to become someone she isn't. Roses mother soon forgets the value of life and that love and family is priceless and worth more than the world she is caught up in. Rose meets people that help her live the life that she had always only dreamed of, they give her hope and faith and the will to make it through. The unexpected happens to Rose. She gets the confidence to succeed, in her new unfamiliar world, from a stranger. I would recommend this book to my friends around my age because the way Roses life changes and also by the way she had to change by the events that happened in her life. I also like the way the novel ends; it ends in a twisted and unexpected way. I don't like the book in a way because some parts have nothing to do with the way Rose struggles through life. I don't think adults or children would enjoy reading this novel. I think the book would have been a lot better if there was more action. The way V.C. Andrews describes the characters was interesting and makes you wonder about their personality, it draws you in. I overall think this was a good novel.
Rating: Summary: MORE LIKE IT Review: ROSE IS THE FIRST NOVEL SINCE THE HEAVEN SERIES THAT HAS MADE ME GET EMOTIONAL. WHEN ROSE'S MOTHER IS GOING THOUGH HER "MID-LIFE CRISIS" AND LEARNING ABOUT THE SECRETS THAT ROSE'S FATHER KEPT MADE ME GET ANGRY, AND SAD, AND FINALLY HAPPY WHEN THE BOOK ACTUALLY HAD A HAPPY ENDING. UNLIKE A LOT OF VC ANDREW'S STUFF THIS SERIES HAS THE DRAMA WITHOUT THE DEPRESSING ENDINGS. THE ONLY THING THAT I DIDN'T LIKE IS (AND IT IS THIS WAY WITH ALL OF THE BOOKS) TEENAGERS DO NOT REFER TO THEIR PARENTS AS "MOMMY" OR "DADDY" GIVE ME A BREAK. OTHERWISE NO REAL COMPLAINTS HERE. THEY EVEN REFERED TO ROSE'S DAD AS LOOKING LIKE HARRISON FORD -WHO IS ACTUALLY GOOD LOOKING, UNLIKE THE KEVIN BACON REFERENCE IN THE RAIN SERIES.

Rating: Summary: i'd give zero if i could Review: this book is awful, everything since the logan series has been awful. V. C. Andrews was a really good writer when she was alive, but these books are too terrible for words. No wonder everyone things V. C. Andrews' books are trash. And the ones she wrote were great, but these books just take away all the credibility and reputation she ever had.
Rating: Summary: The worst of the worst! Review: This is possibly the worst V.C. Andrews book I have ever read (it and Cinnemon are in a close race), and it is definitely in the worst series. I don't know why I continue reading these mini-series books when I know they are all basically the same book rewritten with new characters. Like other Andrews characters, Rose has to deal with the death of a parent, the self-centeredness of another parent, and meeting relatives she never knew she had. Sounds really familiar, doesn't it? Unlike the original Andrews books, where the writing was so descriptive that I could almost feel like I was there living through the events along with the characters (and did not want to put the book down for anything), the new books are so bland that it is a chore just to finish one chapter.
