Summary: Not scary, but imaginative and fun
Review: I enjoyed reading this book because it takes on a strange journey. Reading it from the "victim's" perspective adds a real feeling of fright and nervousness to the events that are happening. As a reader, you never know what's going to happen next. Like I said, it's not that scary, but it's fun and the payoff at the end is excellent.

Summary: This book scared me...
Review: I have read quite a bit of Hubbard's fiction work including some of the Mission Earth books, A Very Strange Trip, and Battlefield Earth. None of those come close to FEAR. If you read only one of Hubbard's fiction books, read this one. It is quick to read, and will scare the crud out of you. I waited till about 10:30 at night to read it, and just finished it around 12:30...guess I'll be up for awhile!!!! I Highly recommended this book!!!

Summary: Good or Bad?
Review: I honestley cannot decide wether this was an incitefull story of a "normal" man's descent into madness or just a cheesy super- natural thriller that is especially hard to read.

Summary: A incredible tale with an explosive ending!
Review: I like this classic L. Ron Hubbard book a lot! This book really demonstrates his imagination as a writer, immortilizing him as one of the greatest writers of all time! Fear is a classic milestone in literature. It's the tale from everyone's hometown, and the creapy cobwebs of your darkest nightmares. Fear captures you, spins you around, rolls you like a tidal wave and erupts into the most incredible ending ever put on paper! 'Gripping' and 'chilling' are understatements. If you want an real good read on a dark and stormy night, read this one... but be sure to keep a flashlight handy, and a table to hide under. This is one hell of a book! It easily goes as one of my top favorites!

Summary: I really liked it...
Review: I really enjoyed Fear. It was a very chilling story, and although some readers may think it is a bit confusing, I think that this style of writing conveys the mental state of the main character. It is definitely worth the money. I have read quite a bit of Hubbard's fiction works, and like a previous reader, I enjoyed this book the most. I highly recommend it.

Summary: One of my favorites
Review: I really like mistery and horror books, I always did - why, I don't know, since a lot of them gave me nightmares! This book was different. This book was mysterious and involving, without being introverting. It was incredibly good. The book takes you though a great description of the characters and their life, which turns more into a living nightmare for the main character. The end is as surprising as it gets - I had to read the last 2 pages a few times to make sure I understood it right - it was the last thing I could have ever expected! I am trying to forget a bit about this book so I can read it again, but it's so peculiar and written so well that it's hard to forget. I rarely read a book which I liked from beginning to end - actually, I never did, until I read this one! An absolute must for anyone who is into mystery books.

Summary: Don't read this alone at night. It is just a little too....
Review: I will keep this short. It is a bit on the scary side for me. But it is done without the usual blood and gore. It just kinda sneaks up on you... and where did he leave his hat? I was sorry it was as short as it was.

Summary: Not my thing, but enjoyable enough
Review: I'll keep this review simple and state that this type of book is not really my thing. It starts off normal enough, but then a Professor Lowry loses his job over an article and, after visiting a friend, loses his hat and four hours of his life. Following this, Lowry becomes obsessed by what happened to him in that time and in turn becomes haunted by "things" who warn him away from finding his hat and 4 hours. An interesting enough concept, and what follows is Lowry's slow decent into maddness.
Without revealing too much, the ending of this book will make or break it for most people. At first I was annoyed by the ending, but thinking about it later it does make sense and fit, even if you weren't expecting it.
All in all, it is a short, light read that does prove entertaining (if somewhat strange at times) and if this type of book is your thing, then you'll probably love it.
