Summary: Erik touched me in a way no other man ever could.
Review: The Phantom of the Opera isn't just a book, it's my bible. Don't misunderstand me, I don't mean that it was divinely inspired, but for me, Erik stands as a neo-pagan archetype, a tragic hero, a powerful god who, as stated by Leroux, had a heart that could have held the world, but to escape His persecuters, had to content Himself instead with a cellar. Christine Daae was a fool who was unworthy of His love, and Raoul should have been left to rot in that torture chamber. That he wasn't stands as a testimony to Erik's goodness and mercy. Long live Erik, my lord, my love, my twin soul. If only I could have lived in His time.

Summary: "The Opera Ghost was real."
Review: "Based" on a true story, Leroux gets some things right and some things wrong. I should know, I was there. The powerful love story of an airheaded aristocrat, a young, confused, innocent soprano, and a musical genius/madman with the face of a demon and the voice and heart of an angel, the ending drives me to tears every time I read it. At least Leroux got one thing right: "The Opera Ghost was real."

Summary: "A unique tragic love story and thriller combination."
Review: Gastone Leroux's story of a misunderstood creature driven to murder is a fascinating blend of suspense and love. It moves, dazzles, and frightens all at the same time. In one instant the reader fears Erik, the Phantom, and in the next moment the reader is sobbing for him. As Christine travels up and down the emotional roller coaster in which the Phantom has her spellbound, she takes the reader right along with her. He seduces not only Christine, but the audience as well. The reader also shares Raoul'd frustrations as he tries to unravel the mystery of the elusive "Angel." The reader even finds himself laughing with the Phantom as the befuddled managers of the Opera house lay victims to Erik's pranks. Over-all, The Phantom of the Opera is an enriching and emotionally exorcising tale that will never die no matter how many times it is re-told.

Summary: I'm absolutely and utterly in love with this book
Review: Take one beautiful, mysterious and talented soprano opera singer, add two bold opera house owners, a dashing, confused, in-love young man in searh for the opera singer's heart, and one tortured, genius, masked man, and you've got one great book. This book is not merely a book, but a haunting story of horror and love. The noted opera singer, Christine, has been taking secret opera lessons from her adoring Angel of Music, who loves her enough to kill an opera and its audience. Christine also has another admirer, Raoul, who would do anything for her, including save her from the dread Opera Ghost who kills everyone who stands in his way, with the help of the Persian who is owed a favor by the Phantom. As we read on, we find that Erik, The Phantom of the Opera, the Angel of Music, and the Opera Ghost (a.k.a. O.G.) are one, and indeed a terrifying collaboration. Christine refuses to marry Erik, so she, the persian and Raoul are in fatal danger. For years upon reading the haunting story, I can't get it out of my head. I love it. The opera is one to see also. This book will enthral a captivated audience, I quite assure you.

Summary: A wonderful romance..and the horror
Review: The Phantom of the Opera is a wonderfully written book. The author did a great job of keeping the reading in suspense and horror. Additionally, he illustrates the sadness that love can bring. I have to admit in the beginning it was a little boring, but as you read on, you would love it. The ending is just fantasic. I recommend that you read this book or give someone this book for a gift if you / they love romance novals or if you / they just love to read a great book.

Summary: Thoroughly Beautiful. One of the best books ever.
Review: This, in my opinion is the most incredibly beautiful books ever. Not only is it an interesting story, but the descriptions of love are so wonderful, and yet heart-wrenching that you almost have to cry for poor Erik. When Erik told the Persian about his farewell to Christine, I felt a strength of emotion that drove me almost to the brink of tears. Anyone that can should take the time to journey into this timeless classic.

Summary: It was one of the best books I ever read!
Review: I like the Phantom, because he made the book interesting. The Phantom was a sad person. The beginning of the book wasn't as good as the end of the book, though.
